Uncertainty
William Sep 2019
Waves, pools, an untamed flood
Drowning on my own accord
Drops of rain fill my eyes
Where once tears formed in the gloomy
Haze
Imagination ruled by depths
An ocean spanning the width of my ambition
Though runs empty with the tide
Never returning to fill the rocky shore
Still, an endless chase seeks to submerge
My parched soul
Eternally empty
Filled with hope

A night for darkness
William Sep 24
The meandering beauty and the muck of the light that went out without a fuss

And the darkness that lit the expanse

With chance that brought parlance and the certainty that took you there

The infinite shadow of doubt and the reason that glimmered without

A gradient of joy hides the rest, beyond the source that glimmers abreast.

A rote course harbours the light, a nest cradled by rhythm thats bright.

That which balanced the crest, the tide was before, before now went west.

The nothing and the colourful refrain  and where we are in between, we sang.

The apex of time from a past to blame and a future to shame; nature's eternal again.
