I often dream of our days without school or work, where we can just be us. A big sigh as I say that, it's all I hope for; us. Together we are that special couple everyone envies because our love overflows. It's the days with no interruptions, no hiccups, no worries, time standing still, where we are comfortable in and around one another. Legacy, Footprint, Fingerprint

When I think of passing I often wonder what my legacy would've been if I had a child. Would I have passed on the words of wisdom that was handed down to me. Would I have breathed in the enjoyment of riches just spending time, ensuring they would have known that I loved them. I wonder if I would of been one of those tight nit families always breaking bread together and enjoying the laughter around the table. Would have I passed on my desire for adventure, to learn what it truly means to live.

I wonder if I left a footprint in some lives. Not just journeying through foreign lands. I pray I never trespassed or caused any harm. My hope the only footprint I ever left was going to help or to bring some joys to some lives. If somehow I left a footprint in the wrong, I hope that whoever I disturbed could forgive me.

I hope when my time has come that I left fingerprints. Where I touched a life and brought an encouraging word. I pray that my fingerprints would be left in every hand of the one's I love. I wonder if my fingerprints would remain in the things I built for others, not in the structures but in their lives. A fingerprint left on building up rather than tearing down. I'd rather live this world knowing that I made it better than the way I found it.

I'm not saying it is my time. It's just the things I ponder as I grow older.

If I could I would take every pain and hurt upon myself and give you healing, peace, and love. Because it pains me to see you in any discomfort. This is not my virtue, but still I wait anticipating on meeting you...home.  It's crazy how time is drawing near but I feel so impatient, I only want to hold you for the rest of my life, to taste your kisses with every morning, to chastened away your pains, to help shoulder the yoke for your children and family. But yet I wait with prayerful heart asking my Father to strengthen me when I falter. And ask Him to place His angels around you until it's my time. I ask that He remove the aches and pains from you. I ask Him to teach me to be patient just a little more. That way when patience is done; my love will be perfected in you.

Sitting on the couch watching the flickering of the candle you bought me, smile on my face reminiscing of our night together. The aroma takes me back to our picnic on the living room floor, the fireplace playing on the television as we shared a beautiful meal. A half empty bottle of wine still sits in the refrigerator door reminds me of the tipsiness I had that night. The stockings still hanging from the entertainment center in which hung to help bring in the Christmas spirit. Some wrapping paper lying on the floor from us wrapping presents takes me back to the beautiful times we shared. The lamp by the bed that changes colors reminds me of our passionate night. A bottle of coconut oil on the nightstand reminds me of your smooth skin as I massaged your back.
All this memories helps me have patience but anticipating our next memories. I can only imagine our journeys and all the bliss they bring. Patience is something I feel I lack but our memories and dreams help me to continue to push forward and wait for the expected days. The Bible says love is patient and kind.. I'm finding this to be so true and know you are worth the wait.

The one thing in life, we never have enough of. But it is through patience we receive the miraculous things in life. We both want the things now, you your final days of school, me all my days with you. Patience its how we will receive the blessing, what God has given us. Its the endurance that finishes. I know I have patience till the day I'm with you forever. You will make it through just l like I will. In the end, we have our goal, together, home- our cabin in the north woods.
