Void
Darla Marr Jun 2019
Heart hard as coal
Black as a hole
Loneliness to fill the void

A bottle or two to
mend the pain
Bar to find a friend
or two

Time will change
the fading brawl
that will live forever
deep inside

Crushed against the wall
of bitter strife
Bona fide life is in
hours of darkness
It seems burden
of no significance

Void of Truth
Mends the ends
As loneliness seems to have found a friend

Our Blessed Mothers
Darla Marr Jan 2020
Uniqueness of a friend is few and far between.
There is not a mile too far for a mother such as ours.
They are there upon our every call, patient until the end.
Longing for a phone call
Waiting for us there.
Mothers Day has not been forgotten, as mothers can say it all.
Giggles to the end as your heart will sing with rumors of laughter, as children fill the hall, singing hallelujah  to all, this Mothers Day laughter for all.
Let's not forget our blessed mothers on Mothers Day.
