Poetry
TK Chris Dec 2019
Nothing can be done
The ink smears the page
I rush to the next line
A forced race
I have to do better
The words must align with one another
Become lost in a trance
Then the page can dance

Who Am I?
TK Chris Aug 2019
Birthed into inquity
The chapters of my life are not written in the same ink
The corners of the pages crumble, they don't fold
Each word is given a different font but all have been typed in bold
Is this me, am I all the colors of the rainbow
Just appeared out of no where after a quiet storm

Beautiful Nightmare
TK Chris Jun 2019
A cry out in the moonlit sky
Tears trickle down earth's wall
The ground has been sealed
For no more tears can enter
How much longer will this go on
Stand in silence as intruders disruptes our song
The one that allows everything to have uniscience
And shift the Universe but keep the balance
How long before we see
That we are the monsters who plague our sweet dreams

I desire a heart after mine
Not a mind that follows behind

I could...
TK Chris Apr 2019
I could get lost in the sky
Dance on the rays that hit the ground
Twirl as the wind drift on by
I could get lost at sea
Become one with the creatures that have yet to be discovered
Play in the sand that hides earth's treasures
I could get lost in the forest
Entangled in the vines free like the butterflies
Sleep on the floor soft like lips
I could get lost in you
Levitate higher than the sky bring stillness to the sea
Reign dominion over all things

Breathe
TK Chris Apr 2019
We take time to inhale but we do not take time to exhale
We suffer what happens to us yet we do not celebrate it ending

We Are the Same, No?
TK Chris Apr 2019
I heard the choir singing, their voices condemned me
The dress that hangs over me tightens the knot in my chest
Will I continue to lie for these dead flowers still sparkle on their bed?
Instead I create a world within my mind where I am free
Imagine that I entangle, no, that I engulf myself in you
Will I ever be able to extinguish this fire and sway to the rhythm blues?
Your beauty is captivating, it’s what drew me to you
I will always stand at your front door and will never knock
Are you the reason I can’t sit still in church, bound by chains that holds no locks?
Understood the emotions that disrespected my religion
Understood the changes that took place in my body
Can you understand my struggle of having big ***** even though yours are petite?

I Could Fall in Love
TK Chris Apr 2019
I couldn’t be who I am if it wasn’t for you
And yet I still question your intentions
I’d give you my sight to see if you were blind
My being if you were losing yourself, lost your motivation in search for real religion
I find myself at times holding onto this rope you’ve threaded for me
You are the reason my skies are blue so I bow down and kiss your feet
Discover the answer to why we feel we must fall in love
And not be entangled by societal norms of selfishness; finding treasure and keeping it for ourselves
I store it away in hopes of never losing you
Grasp heaven by the reigns and demand we never get sick, weary, or die just disappear into the ocean blue
They say I must contain myself but I refuse to simplify these feelings
Instead I remain cursed at your side marveled by your beauty
Clasp our bodies together our movements lift us in prayer
Sway in uniscience with the fire and chant the songs of the earth
The love I have for you is sinful yet I wake up every day and thank God
Because you are a reminder of how great his craft is, how unflawed
I draw myself in and out of time when I become overwhelmed in your atmosphere
The pressure rains down on my soul mocking the strength I claimed
Can true love be real if you are unaware of its presence?
Unaware of what it went through, the countless meetings up in heaven

— The End —
