Have to Do It
Rachel Mar 2019
Trees blossoming in the Snow, she loves growing that way
God is in her typewriter, she makes art in order not to die of the truth
Writing is Necessary
Poetry is Salvation

A confessional writer, brazen and misunderstood
Her mind so creatively powerful, her head hurt her to death
Writing is Necessary
Poetry is Salvation

Female liberation from oppression, but not from depression
She reigns and she pours, chaining herself to freedom
Writing is Necessary
Poetry is Salvation

She wears Motivation and Determination on her wrists
Asunder the tides that keep her moving
Writing in Necessary
Poetry is Salvation

Wind and Rain
Rachel Mar 2019
Labored calm, dust form into electrolyte
Dirt, scraping orbs of reason won’t obey
Violent winds take the umbrellas to flight

Shooting down as a neurotic typewrite
Currents, crass! Making havoc throughout the day
Rain hides the distant mountains from our sight

Sounding the alarm, the air gives no respite
Swirls about such as Degas’s ballet
Violent winds take the umbrellas to flight

Planting in our minds the seeds of eyebright
Chaos and confusion are underway
Rain hides the distant mountains from our sight

Wearing iridescent labradorite
No shelter from the storm to our dismay
Violent winds take the umbrellas to flight

We beg you, take us away from ourselves
Mother Nature lay upon us your sway
Violent winds take the umbrellas to flight
Rain hides the distant mountains from our sight

Her Secret Womb
Rachel Mar 2019
Her Secret Womb

Spring comes clashing into Winter's taproom
Slender Sun rays leak old man cold's pivot
Carrying us all in her secret womb

Winter refutes Spring's trespass wind vacuum
Sleet slaps pedals, an angry exhibit
Don't let us slip into the darkened doom

Delusion wears reality's perfume
A juncture of Seasons, can you feel it
Carrying us all in her secret womb

Sprinkled by Spring, cold wishes to resume
New plants and minds held up by one rivet
Don't let us slip into the darkened doom

Dormant meets new energy, brought by whom
Nature's divinity knows no limit
Carrying us all in her secret womb

Dancing and skipping, we shine and we bloom
Trusting in the Universal Spirit
Carrying us in her secret womb
Don't let us slip into the darkened doom
Rachel Mar 2019
I’m no longer ashamed a-thousand score
Struggles have become the poetic mead
I do not hate who I am anymore

With all my up-standings, I’ve hit the floor
Today, the good one is the one I feed
I love me today, I’ve sailed away from shore

Ingesting selfishness pleasures galore
Taken to their actions, their words I heed
I do not hate who I am anymore

Making it good for those years that were sore
Asking God’s help to show me what I need
I love myself today for who I am

The best things have been the worst to bore
The further away, the more I am freed
I do not hate who I am anymore

I will be coming back for ever more
Peace, Love, Joy have planted in me their seed
I do not hate who I am anymore
I love me today, I’ve sailed away from shore
