We all have a path
A forward motion
It is not set in the past
Sure we have that notion

We each strive
To know where we have been
We already contain the Awnser
We search from within

To know our future
We have to look back
It isnt certain
You do the math

We make our future
We desire
From within
We will find what resides

Good, bad in truth we are whole
We have free will
We have a soul

Greed leads to nothing
A heart will stay full
By the people you touch
In this life don't be a fool

Don't take sides
Trust with your heart
Not with your eyes
Your heart heart will open wide

Strength through forgiveness
Maybe a lover, a mother, a friend
Say your sorry
Before it all ends

In the end we decide
What value we hold
Keep your heart
It is more precious than gold

This is me
This is who I am
I am ok with me
I love who I am

In this world we all strive
To live with this person
Who we are inside

I am poetic, but not always brave
I am artistic, but not begging to be saved.
Because this is me
This is who I am

I strive to stand out
Wherever I can

A zebra has stripes
It's pattern never repeats
You will never see the same twice
Your eyes will deceive

So this is me
This is who I am
I am defiantly ok with me
I love who I am

Accept the things we cannot change
Learn from them and grow
Only then, we are whole

To be expectant of perfection
Is our greatest flaw
For we are each unique
And god loves us all

Born different
Even so we all enrich humanity
With enrichment comes knowledge
Which is never a flaw
So no, I will not strive for perfection
I will stand against being the same
I will not flee
I want a world where
I am me and you are you
Don't you see
God never makes a flaw

Love

A fleeting moment
A kind gesture
Heart races under pressure..

A backward glance
A forward motion
To say hello
Is the notion..

Holding hands
A defensive stance
Sweat and tears it does enhance..

Part of one
Part of a whole
You say I do
To have and to hold..

Embarssing moments
Childish quick tease
A flowering rose
A quick breeze

As you grow old
The love never fades.
Even when you put loved ones
In a final resting place

So what does this have to do with you?
You might ask
Because love is in your future
Not in your past.

Mom
Mom

Mom, we haven't always agreed
Sometimes I have been a pain
Now I see what you see
You loved even when I
was to blame.

I am sorry for not being there
When I should have been
I am sorry for dismissing
All the things that might have been

Even through all these things
I loved you with my whole heart
Always and forever
Even though we didnt always get along
Even from the start

I am going to miss your smile
Miss your little laugh
Miss the talks when you talked a while
Feels like my heart is ripped into two
Completely, whole in half

I can remember the good times
I will remember the bad
I will remember when we were happy
Even when we were sad

You will remembered in my heart
Every day I go forth
Morning, noon and night
Til you as an angel knock on my door

I am sorry for the times I made you sad
But one thing I do want to say
Is that you are the best mom I ever had.

"The clock"

What is time?
A marker?
What do we know of it
What did we find?
Did we find "the path"?

The world is the pendulum
Around around its sway
The son is the face
That marks times way

We may seem the center
But rest assured we are not
We are the epicenter
That time has forgot

We have watched, clocks, light years
That marks our hours
But here in this time
The sun keeps the hour

Yet here we are with solar panels noticing its power.

Have you ever wondered
Have you ever thought
Have you ever pondered the words we were taught?

Throught life we were said
Each person indifferent
Some begged some pled
Others challenge notions instead

I am one of those
That is who I am
Seeing is not always believing
With my heart not my eyes I chose

I am not for the faint of heart
My life has done full circle
I see what others block out
In all colors..not just red , blue or purple

So, have you..have you
Ever wondered or pondered
I have ,I have
Pondered then wondered..

So now I write..
Not with my eyes, but my heart
Because in my life
It seemed the greatest place to start!
I am 38 with heart failure. But here in my words it never fails. It is whole!
