AUTUMN LEAVES

There lived an elderly gentleman, in the home for the aged.

One day, he threw away his phone, when raged.

Then burst he, into tears and wept loudly.

He said, " for days I  haven't slept soundly".

"None of my children have called me since days".

"Not one of them bothers, how their father stays".

Now to his aid, came another elderly gentleman.

"To hell with such children, forget them as soon as you can".

"Let's get mobile savvy, n learn whatsapp n facebook".

"Let's play games, do gardening n dishes tasty cook".

Everyone was excited n  immediately to this agreed.

A kind volunteer taught them, how to, many of these things do.

Happy very they are now. Their life is, once again, all set.

Sing, dance n enjoy they with their new-found friends; n no more fret.

These autumn leaves, have learnt to adjust to this life friendly, exciting n new.

Decided they have to live beautifully through their autumn years, anew.

SOLD TO SATAN

(After seeing malpractices in medicine, sitting at a multi clinic, I am writing this, with a plea to all the medical practitioners, to please introspect)

Sold my soul I have to the Satan, once I had, a huge entrance amount given, to a doctor become

Now, for treatment, all the rich, the gullible, those frightened hypochondriacs, I warmly welcome.

For rich I have to become, after recovering my expenses huge, to cover up what I spent; that enormous sum !

With wrong, fancy or even frightful diagnosis, I frighten patients; and unnecessarily even operate upon some.

With my malpractices,  Satan very helpful n cooperative is, n encourages me, to richer by the day become.

Alas, a dedicated professional, one who should be respected next to God, how very commercial has now become !

By misleading the ill n those in dire need of a cure; from a God loving n serving the ill n poor people, I have today, a devil become.

Dear God, will You please forgive me, if I change to a good, kind doctor n a human being become?

H2O

Scientists call it H2O, we call it water, some even call it Adam's Ale

Nature us had given it in plenty n free; but today it's on sale

A sincere request I make,  a plea; waste water not; available it isn't in large scale

Everyone can prevent leaking taps; n surely run less water, without fail;

Care we must to collect discarded water from ROs, ACs, (to water plants) in a pail

Or reuse it, to wash vessels or swab floors; this of course is at a small scale.

Wash- machines a huge quantum use; this can be used, to flush a toilet tank;

Mandatory this should be made by GOI; or no loans to be given by any bank.

Between roads n footpaths, at the edges, grass can be grown; that makes it, a ground storage of rank!

Rain harvest today, an absolute necessity is; earlier, because of mud, water into the Earth sank;

Also it was water from lakes, ponds n rivers, that people then drank;

Now it is upto you to act, I have shared with you readers, my opinion n suggestions frank

Guddi,  this was written on 09Jul '11.....

A cute little walkie-talkie doll,
Fair, plump,lovely long hair et all;
A pout she would put often on,
When angry with anyone or Shaun.

Today our princess has met her prince ;
Has suddenly grown up ever since.
Like our Shez, she too will soon leave us.
Leaving in our heart n life,  a void thus.

Tomorrow is her Roka, soon thereafter her engagement.
Girls grow so very fast ; leaving their dear ones after a little merriment.
"Time and tide wait for no one ", is a saying true.
That's why these two cute sisters, very fast grew.
Wishing you both, all the v best in life,, always.

BACK BITE

Think if you are the target, receiver; would you be comfy n light ??

Human nature it is, to malign others or them back bite.

Juicy it feels to do so, when the person is out of sight.

Face to face, it may be difficult, with him to fight.

If we can't praise, it's best to keep our mouth shut tight.

Stop back biting and many things will automatically set right.

STATUS SYMBOL

Believe me, today to lead a simple life, needs real courage.
There is so much pressure, pomp and show, expectations from the family and outsiders, that one tends to beg borrow and maintain status. May I ask what status ? These people will always remain unsatisfied n grumble behind your back or sometimes even tell you on your face.

Is it worth spending huge amounts for  Navjots, Weddings, Anniversaries; sometimes even taking loans???

These days, it's a prestige issue to have a lavish lifestyle. Big flats, ACs, huge TVs in every room, etc. One keeps paying some loan or the other.

Just think about this. Whom are we trying to impress and satisfy ? Our own Ego ? Or the world ?
Then we constantly worry about loan repayments.
I prefer to have everything necessary but not to compete with relatives and friends. For e.g. A Nano is more useful (these days), than a Merk, it saves petrol and can easily be parked and maintained, unless one has to travel long distances out of town.

Please do think and give your valuable suggestions.

In our own small way, let us a difference make.
A hungry man's life perhaps, may be at stake.
Bread we can share some, it needn't be a cake.


Scared many times I am to help, because many beggars there are fake.
To get cheated n encourage wrong,  my heart would ache.
Because many lazy ones beg and alms conveniently take.

Help me O Lord, to lessen another's heart ache.
Help let me another, in Your name, for Your sake.
Wisdom grant me to differentiate between a deserving n a fake.

To encourage begging, would be a sin big; we must put on a brake.
Children innocent, they kidnap n maim, to get their share of cake.
Have we a right to jeopardize an innocent child's life; we cannot put it at stake.

Help we can by educating street children n this begging chain break.
Help the starving farmers; to them let us technology take; teaching them to build a lake.
With the young n old, weak n weary share; let us our things for them take.

अपनो को देते हैं धोका, थोड़ी सी ताकत या दौलत के लिए

(After watching a film...Aanchal)

Oh ! how could he, how could he ever think like this, thought she; how very low !

"I, whose example many give n vouch for "; believe she couldn't; how could he stoop so low!

Shattered was Pooja, on this allegation hearing; she just could take this blow!

Respected greatly was Pooja; people many, her character truly adored;

When Parag, her character blamed; turned she into Maa  Durga, n loudly roared

It was an outburst instant ! contain herself she couldn't; anger poured;

"I, who believe in one love, throughout life; you blame me? How dare!

Staying with you is impossible, this horrible weird allegation I can't bear!

Your thinking so distorted can be, even imagine this I cannot; how unfair!"

Life in a moment single, so drastically did change; for support she groped

Smothered and suffocated she felt, as if in shackles strong she was tightly roped

All of a sudden, disappeared the sunshine n in shadows dark she was enveloped.

For him dear and exciting was this game.

But they didn't let you stay on; o what a shame !
Things that changed, now will never be the same.
Sell they want to, your child, who now is lame.

Jeh, now I wish, at least the airport at Navi Mumbai, bears your name.
O how I wish, for this, all Airindians exert an emphatic claim.

EMPTY CUPS

A sacrificial goat is the man belonging to middle class.

He is born to suffer the Govt's taxation torture, their "trass".

Squeeze they, every drop of his already pale blood n all his money

Whilst they enjoy with his tax money, all the delicious honey !!!

Pampered are the poor; instead of training them to become worthy;

Because, these masses in return, votes give to the govt. aplenty.

Then its the rich, who increase the prices of their products, to cover up their loss.

Bothered about the world they are not; principles they toss.

The working man's life most miserable is; after tax, receives he only two thirds.

Thereafter he pays taxes on everything except air n his words.

Crushed his life the Govt has, to parasites clothe, house n feed

Helplessly he gets ****** n *******; n is treated like a ****.

Empty will be his cup; after the tax- burden on his broken back !!!

Dreams his, fulfilled never will be, money to spend he will always lack.

Dear Lord,  honesty we know has value little, in today's world;

The dishonest, cushily sit in their comfy A/C homes all curled;

As the salaried middle-class man slogs like a beast of burden

The leaches **** his resources to build assets golden.

IF I WERE

IF I were a  squirrel,  bury I would, varied n many a seed.

As a human  being,  a lot we can do to plant trees,  indeed!!!

If I were a butterfly,  cross pollination would be my deed ;

If I were a crow  many  Banyan n Peepal trees I would sow.

Or in some way,  along the coast, all the way,  coconut palms grow

If I were the PM, all along,  every road, trees would be grown in many a row.

Every MP, MLA, tycoon, beaurocrat, should follow suit

No one allowed is, to fell trees, our environment destroy or loot.

Builders destroy trees,  compel them I would, to transplant

Wouldn't it wonderful be, If every man responsibility takes, to trees plant ?

No one ever hungry would remain,  fruits,  vegetables n herbs abundant will be

Wouldn't this world be a beautiful place; just contemplte !

If sow we would, seeds of fruits, that we daily ate.

Imagine oranges, Chikoos, mangoes hanging from trees, along the road.

Banana plantations, gauva, custard-apple trees on every boluward.

The colder places would have apple,  apricot, peach, cherry avenues.

This way, our villages n towns would be loaded with fruits, flowers n veggies.

Every coast, coconut groves, jackfruits would have all around.

Deserts filled with date palms would, if Arabs, date seeds drop could.

I love to imagine a world like this, lush green and so rich yet serene.

Be it man, beast, bird all happily in peace, coexist would.

Thought this fills me with pleasure, which I just cannot measure.

Lord, bless this beautiful Earth, so that a paradise it becomes.

With vegetation , now oxygen rich air,  will automatically come.

When tired, may cool breeze, you soothe

May rose petals be showered upon your path,

If the Sun hot is very, may some woolly clouds soothe you;

Or a huge luxuriant tree, grant you shade aplenty.

In the absence of the Sun, may the Moon light your path.

When thirsty, may a brook, come forward, to quench your thirst.

If sleepy, may a stary night n breeze cool, lull you to bed.

May your path with roses be strewn, minus the thorns.

Lord,  these humans,  with their modernization almost my fate did seal;

That's why to You,  I had to sincerely pray and desperately appeal.

Now fate theirs is threatened, and to You they nervously appeal;

Worried they are about their lives; they have themselves sealed.

Flora and fauna today on rejuvenating, with happiness and laughter, peal.

I am now rejuvenating, thank  You Lord, for listening to my appeal

Sorry for them I do feel; but their indiscriminate actions have their fate sealed.

Lord, as You are helping me, them forgive n help them also to heal.

STANDARDS DOUBLE

DIFFERENT CONTRARY  ANGLES N PERSPECTIVES  OF THE SAME PEOPLE.

Realities, practicalities are different very, from our ideals n thoughts;

This is the very reason,  with these standards  double, our society rots.

Today  compulsory are masks due to covid; understandable this situation is;

But what about those masked people; whose masks see we can't, how do we deal with these?

People say one should have a priceless heart, which  is worth more than solid gold;

But in reality prefer people those who are rich; talkative, powerful and bold.

People with hearts of gold,  taken are for granted; and often  neglected

Whereas the rich, powerful ones, the pampered, spoilt ones are selected

Speeches loud are given against practises evil; but sadly limited it is; used  only to be preached.

Wonder I often,  why these standards double? Where have we actually reached?

Happen rapes n sins other,  almost daily, condemned by the people who are in it involved.

Have you thought, how, why and from when,  have these standards double evolved ???

An ideal human, who composed was; n very mature.

CHARACTER  ASSASSINATION


Assault some  physically,  mentally and yet some, emotionally

Destroy some people the victims, professionally or  vocationally

Some people just  assassinate the poor person's pristine character

How does the affected person deal with so many different  factors???

Readers,  agree with me you all will, these accusations are unpardonable crimes.

Unfortunately these are on a rise steep during our, so called  modern times.

Of these,  one of the worst and absolutely  unpardonable crime is ****;

Wonder I, how n why does law allow these loathed criminals to escape.

It's an earnest request to all judges, advocates,  police,  ministers

In fact, everyone concerned, from the highest to the lowest administrators

Put your daughters,  sisters, wife or mother in the victim's place

Awaken your conscience; make your money else where; in her, please see their face.

Another thing is, do not ever assassinate someone 's character

Find out facts,  reasons behind their behaviour or action; there could be important factors

Easy it is to become a vicious demon and tarnish an innocent's image

Do not be the cause of someone's miseries,  or  her  character damage.

A DANCING SPRING

Jumping like a spring, was this spring, n around it, created it, a permanent spring, green.

This little dancing brook, made the atmosphere around it, magical n yet so serene

Created it a musical spell, with sounds of rolling pebbles n its water so cool, clear n clean

What a wonderful way to relax here it is; no need there was, for any tannin or caffeine.

Those cold water droplets spraying on my face; staying here, happiness I glean

With its splashing water, soaking wet were my clothes, my T-shirt n my jeans

Learnt I from this little dancing spring, inspite of a life rough, how to joy n freshness glean.

MY FREYANUSH

Freyu  fatkdo, is my hero, my darling champ.

Can't find a darling like him, even after searching with a lamp.

Sometimes too much of gym n running, cause my hero a cramp.

May Ahura shower His choicest blessings upon you, my son.

To play with him Scrabble, quiz, uno, cricket, is real real fun.

Though these days I don't like him playing with bow n arrows or a gun.

May you soon represent India as a chess n skating champ; play an important part.

May all your efforts reach the sky, like an arrow, or a dart.

Study hard, n reach heights great; pray daily, with all your heart.

Sat on a toy trolley

Travelling on a toy trolley,
was pretty much a folly;

But a fall was ok with these two darlings, jolly.

Pick your glasses and to each other, say cheers;

As you clink your glasses of whiskey or beer,

Celebrate; forgetting our fears, leaving aside the tears.

As we celebrate this Navroze, let us for the future gear;

For a day, leave aside the extinction fear;

And hope, there will be of happiness, many years.

May the community survive for thousands of years.

May there be good luck, health, wealth n cheer.

May this Navroze bring many Bawajis n Maijis near.

Lots of good news may we soooooon hear;

Let Homi tell, "Hilla, come near, my dear"

And announce Hoshi's arrival in the subsequent year.

Remember we must, "united we stand; inspite of us being queer".

May this Navroze bind us all; and the weather be shiny n clear.

People many,  candles blow off a cake, n a birthday wish make;

I never this do, because fire I  rever; n it cannot blow; so a candle I light away from the cake.

Lord, on my  Birthday, for peace n good health,  today a sincere wish I make;

Please bless me to do my best; n in Your hands, my hand please take.

May every young Indian, learn to fire rever,  giving up silly western ideas,  for Ahura's sake.

Can you imagine all the sputum spattered, as one blows, over the cake

Anytime, to tease n pranks play, she is game.
Not to study, ready there are always excuses lame.
And after that, poor bro is available to blame.
But she is a doll, an absolute sweetheart; this I claim.

HOME COMING

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AIR INDIA

On this day, on 15th October in1932 Jeh flew down with his cute baby to Bombay

After success great and celebrations many, where there was lots of funfare n play ;

Teething problem baby had, like any other child would, after all it was a part of the growing up way.

For some years everything was going good, till some jealous eyes wouldn't let her with Jeh stay

Stay with the person who made her, nurtured her so very painstakingly; Jeh was kept at bay.

Years dragged, she became feeble, unfit, unworthy, every buerocrat managed to her slay.

Then something happened, Ratan brought her home with love, a huge amount he had to pay.

But now at last the baby is in her uncle's or cousin's loving arms, forever to stay.

Regain her health soon she will, rejoycing are we, all who love her. Wishing you, dear lady, a very happy Birthday.

NB: how I wish I could work again with Ratan's Air India.
