टूट गया वो नाज़ुक दिल, जब मिली न प्यार की मंज़िल ।

तोड़ के औरोंके के दिल, और जज्बात लोग बसाते है खुद के लिए महफ़िल

Let us an example set, n to the world show.

Let us at every vacant corner, green grow.

Small places n spots, support can some oxygen releasing trees.

Which from pollution and CO2, this beautiful Earth frees.

Water them let us, with water wasted fron RO n AC plants.

Choose carefully let us, the 24 hour oxygen releasing plants;

Used cans, empty  bottles, boxes, pots reused should be.

This poem is not just a verse; from me, it's an ardent plea.

Annoyed he gets, if our batsman gets out in a zero.

Though he is great at speed skating, he loves cricket.

My Lil champ, to go for Nationals is all set.

He is also a chess champ, at level district.

To go further, he needs practise intense n strict.

When did I last laughed heartily ?
I don't really remember, he thought to himself.

It's been a while, "I must make an attempt to do so".

So out he went, to find a reason to laugh at.

Searched he ardently, but he felt sad n  like crying;

Saw he trouble, poverty, helplessness, all around.

Came back he, thinking, what is the purpose of life ?

But even after contemplation, found he, no answer.

Now bothered he wasn't to laugh; he wanted to, this reason seek.

So again he went; saw he pain n suffering again .

Said he, "God, I know you won't share Your secrets;  but please keep me sane".

All I wish to say is eat,  enjoy as much as you wish but first taste;

On your plate take as much as you wish; but do not waste.

Think deeply about the consequences, of  the many hungry mouths, before you waste.

When millions go hungry, It's a sin to fill your plate in a haste;

Eat, enjoy, refill if required but let food not waste.

Same applies to water; upto the brim,  do not fill the glass.

You may be ***** rich n think, stylish you are , with a class;

But remember your grandchildren may have to pay a fortune for just a glass.

Carry your bottle till you finish; or water the plants with that half glass.

And most importantly, help me spread my message to the mass(es).

આં ખુદગરજી જ માનવનો સર્વ નાશ નોતરે છે ;

ઝાડો કાપી, એ પોતાની જ બરબાદી કંડોરી, કોત્રે છે.

ધરતી ઉપર, પ્રાણવાયુ આં રીતે કમ ના કર, ઓ મૂર્ખ માનવ;

ઉંમર નો તકાજો

યાદશકિત ધીરે ધીરે ઓસરી રહિ છે,
સહનશક્તિ પણ એજ રીતે ઓસરી રહી છે;

ન જાણે હું કેટકેટલું વિસરી રહી છું,
પણ જે વિસરાવું જોઇયે, તે ક્યાં વિસરી રહી છું?

ઉંમર પોતાનો તકાજો કરે છે; તો પણ હું શા કાજ ખટાશમાં મિસરી નાખી રહી છું!

જીવનમાં બેબસ્તા,  એક કડવાશ સતત આવતો જાય છે, શું એને ઘટાડવા  મીસરી કામ આવશે?

શરીરના દરેક અવ્યયમાં દુઃખદર્દ વધી રહ્યાં છે; કામ કરતી નથી કોઇ ઔષદી, કોઇ જીવન કેસરી

માલિક, શું જીવન એક ઘુવડ બની વિતાવવું પડશે ખૂણે બેસી એક; ચપળતા વિસરી?

એ તો જતાં જતાં, મારું સ્વસ્થ, શાંત જીવન સાઉ અસ્તવ્યસ્ત કરતો ગયો

કહ્યું મને ઘર છોડીને ક્યાંય જતી ના, તો તું, ક્યાં ચાલી ગયો?

અચાનક, અમાસ વગર, મારો ચાંદ ઘનઘોર ઘટાઓ માં ખોવાઈ ગયો

OH THIS HEAT

Wish there were very many cool, clean swimming pools;

Where spend we could, vacations away from cuties n schools.

Like buffaloes, dip and sit we would; and ourselves cool.

Sitting there, **** a gola we could; at this thought, my mouth does drool.

Nature I do not blame, it's our own doing; this terrifying heat !!!

If careful we can be; further destruction avoid; it we can beat.

Greens, trees if we increase and pollution try to control;

If water we preserve, use of plastics, fumes, heat we reduce.

Dividends rich, truly valuable, we can hope to deduce.

Noticed often it has been,  that people some are inconsiderate, very mean.

They understand do not,  feelings tender, of others; sadly this is often seen.

Alas !  to  see another's view, or to overlook a bit,  learnt they have never;

Because consider they,  that there are none like them;   so very clever.

This world of ours,  would be happier, more peaceful, so much better;

Had we, people kind and considerate, instead of these go getters.

A little  tolerance,   and understanding would help maintain calm  n peace.

Their intolerance n remarks unkind , tear a tender heart to bits,  into many a piece.

Let's all learn to understand, be  patient n considerate or at least overlook

चुप हो गई है, वो "वन्दे मातरम्" के नरों की आवाज़ ।

काश होता जिंदा हमारा वो जज़्बा, आजभी ;

काश गूंजती "वन्दे मातरम्" के नारों की आवाज़ भी ।

कहां गए वो आज़ादी पे मर मीटनेवाले परवाने;

खेली थी खून की होली, वो निडर मस्ताने ;

जाने कहां गया वो जज़्बा वो जुनून !

वो वीरों जिन्हें मिलता था मौत में भी सुकून ।

आज छाई है बेताबी, एक अनचाही उदासी ।

मानो अंग्रजोंने फिर एक बार, छीन लि हो, हमारी झांसी ।

लगता है, मर गई हो एक बार, फिर वो बहादुर रानी,

एक बार फिर खत्म होने को है, आज़ादी की कहानी ।

जागो ओ नवजवानों, गहरी नींद से अपनी जागो ।

CHANGE OUR THINKING, SHOULD WE ?

Man's thinking is really weird, indeed  very strange !

As per his requirements n purpose, It has a long range.

Wonder I, when and how can we bring about a change ?

Yesterday's incident, about the Pups, makes me this think;

We felt awful but helpless, as it happened in a blink.

People screaming,  are they all vegetarians n vegans? Don't even milk drink ?

For eggs if we eat, a hen we hurt. If chicken we eat, it is a murderous act ?

Think of the innocent goat, we not only it **** but eat it ! Isn't this a fact?

Be it fish, chicken, meat, beef, pork, et al, eat we unconcerned, as if part of a pact.

Agreed a mistake it was grave; but awfully weird was the reaction.

Perhaps it happened due to camouflage or the eye's poor refraction.

By our food habits, many murders we daily commit, is this, then a fair action ?

Try to be a kindhearted Santa, sure enjoy this you will.

Need there isn't to many things buy and pay a heafty bill .

Leave you can old clothing some, at your door or window sill.

Serve you can an ailing elder, and pay some amount for his pill.

Remember always, life for the poor is  very difficult to deal.

Easy it is not, for the elders too, speak a kind word or deed like a meal.

A little we must try to do; even if an entire void we cannot fill.

Let the Santa in you, show up often; I am sure he will.

यह क्या किया तुने मेरे मालिक, पल भरमे मेरा दिल हो गया पराया ;

उसके बिना बेजान हो कर जी रहा हूं; मेरे ही दिल ने मुझे हराया ।

प्यार हो जाता है यह सुना था; लेकिन इस उलझन में तुने, मुझे क्यू भरमाया

यह दिल अब अपना भी नहीं, और नहीं है उनका, हालात से मै हूं घभराया ।

दिल मुफ्त में दे दिया उनको; ऊपर से सज़ा मिली मुझे, दिल लगाने की

स्थिति बहुत ही बुरी है, इस बेकसूर गरीब मुफलिस  बेगाने की ।

कुछ तो बता, पूछ पूछ के थक चुका हूं मैं, ओ मालिक मेरे;

क्या इस दिल लगाने की भी  सज़ा होती है दरबार में तेरे ???

મારું ખાંડનું પોટલું

નાજુક એ એટલી, કે જાને હોય ઇંડાનું કોટલું;

ખાત્તી બટ તો એટલી કે જાને હોય કેરી નું ગોટલું

ખેંચી આવે એકદમ ચૂપચાપ થઈને, કોઈનું ચોટલું.

પણ છે એ મીઠ્ઠી મધુરી, ખાંડ નું એક મોટું પોટલું.

જ્યારે ગુસ્સો આવે ત્યારે લાગે એકદમ કડવું કારેલુ.

અથવા તો આતશ જેમ તપે એ, માનો લાકડું હોય બારેલું.

પણ મધ કરતાં એ મીઠ્ઠી હશે, એવું નહિ મે ધારેલું.

જીવ જાન અમારો, વસે એનામાં, છે મે પોટલાનેં દિલમાં મારા ઉતારેલું.

THE RICH POOR

Oh, so poor, how very poor, these very rich millionaires are.
Feed they cannot a poor; but squander money they do, at a bar.

Jeans they wear, torn ones; n pay in thousands; in cash hard.
Or faded ones they buy, which normally one should discard.

These rich-poor, wear beads, of muli-colours, like the tribal.
Which the really poor, afford cannot, gold n silver; hence wear them as jewelry-bridal.

Their hair they cut in ways funny n beards long grow.
In fashions weird, a lot of money, they waste or throw.

The unfortunate part is, they call themselves fashionable, elite, setting a trend;
In reality, they blindly follow fashion, driving their parents, round the bend.

Feel I, wear we should, what suits us, comfortable with appealing looks.
Not just blindly follow fashion magazines and books.

HELP ME TO BEAR

Forget cannot I, your lovely lush green curtains,

This blank, reminding me of life and how everything is so uncertain.

this month filled with lavender flowers, would be every bough.

I wonder, without them all, now live I will how ?

जादूगर

देखा नहीं दुनियाभर में, तुझसा कोई जादूगर ;

कर सकता है तु तो कुछ भी, पर चाहे तु अगर ।

पानी में तु एक भयानक आग लगा सकता है ;

और जलती धरापर पानी बरसाने की क्षमता रखता है ।

रेगिस्तान में बरसाए बूंदे तु, ले आए सावन;

या तो खिल जाए चमन वहा, या एक घना वन

खल खल बहे झरना, जहां कुछ समय पहले ही थी  सिर्फ रेत ।

या तो फिर अचानक गिराए जलती धरा पर, बर्फ श्वेत ।

पल भर में गुलाबो से भरा गुलिस्तां, बना दे तु रेगिस्तान;

या धराशाही कर दे महल या मीनार, जगा के तूफ़ान ।

आंधी में तु दीप जलाए और वोह बुझ भी न जाए

तेरे चाहनेसे पल भर में, मौसम बदल जाए ;

सावन की ठंडी फुहार, दिल में आग लगाए, या तो वो ही, आग बुझाए ।

सारी दुनिया में केवल एक; तु तो है बस एक महान जादूगर ।

झुक जाए तेरे सामने राजा महाराजा ओ का सर ।

SOW THE SEED

If we wish change,
It is for us, to this mission start

The best way to change is from within; from the heart.

Of this mission, we have to be a very important part.

Once we decide, determine, we can certainly do a lot.

Chart out a plan; n into action put, when still hot.

Scared of  obstacles, that may arise, become not.

The idea itself is the seed, with water and soil, it feed.

Add the required manure, tend it with care, doing every good deed.

Then as it blooms, if any there is, destroy the ****.

GURU PURNIMA

Be it Teacher's Day or Guru Purnima, accept my salutations please

Day by day, as older I get, my respect for seers, only does increase

For you all are that huge tree, that gives us shade n cold refreshing breeze.

Every parent and all our teachers, us initially teach n painstakingly mould.

If need be, for our own good, they may, us gently correct or even scold.

As parents n grandparents, our responsibility increases ten fold.

So let us into them all good things instill, n a good character build.

First of all, they have to good humans be, whatever may be their work-field.

Parents, grandparents teachers, Gurus it is we, who have their fate  sealed.

We build must a Nation, with values very high, and a character very strong.

It is our divine duty, that they don't go astray; not to let things slip or go wrong.

Teach them we must, to take care of the environment, on the way, all along.

પિયર થયું પરાયું, અરે અરે, ગોરીનુ પિયર થયું રે પરાયું

આમ માત પિતા ના જતાની સાથે જ નસીબ બી શરમાયું, કરમાયું.

જે હતું એનું પોતાનું, તે આજે થઈ ગયું કોઈ બીજાનું.

એને પોતાના જ આં ઘરમાં, લાગે હવે સાવ અંજાનું.

જ્યાં હક્ક થી મેળવતી હતી એ માંગ્યા વગર બધું;

માતા પિતા ની લાડકી એકની એક  દીકરી હતી એ; ત્રણ એના વીરા.

જાન વસ્તો હતો એનામાં, લાડકોડ અને સંભાળ રાખતા હતા એના વીરા.

વિચારે છે એ, આજે ભાભીઓ ની જેમ, એ કેમ થઈ ગયા પરાયા !!

શું ભૂલી ગયા એ બચપણ ની મીઠી વાતો, એ યાદો ?

પછી પોતેજ બોલી, વૃક્ષ જાય તો ક્યાંથી મળે કોઈને છાયડો !!!

હવે તો બસ યાદોના સહારે જીવવું પડશ એને

વિચારે છે એ બિચારી, શા કારણે ત્યાગી દીધી એમને

કેમ સમઝાવે કોઈ એને; છે  આં મતલબી સંસાર

અહીં માત પિતા સિવાય બીજું કોઈ કરે નહિ નિસ્વાર્થ પ્યાર.

સ્વીકારી લે તું માત પિતા ના સિધાર્યા પછી પિયર તો થાય જ પરાયું.

જમશેદ ની ફરજ

માં બાપ ના ગયા પછી વડીલ ભાઈ બહેન કુટુંબ સંભાળે ;

પણ તેં તો એ ફરજ ફગાવી દીધી, માળો છોડી ઉડી ગયો બીજી ડાળે.

માં બાપ, ભાઈ બહેન તરફ હોય છે આપણી એક ફરજ.

કદી ચૂકવી સકતા નથી આમ બી આપણે, એમનું કરજ.

હતો તું તો પ્રેમાળ, સદા આપતો બધાંને હૂંફ અને પ્યાર

તે તો કદી ફરજ ને સમજી નહિ હતી એક બોજ, એક મુસીબત કે વ્યાપાર.

અચાનક એવું તે શું થયું, કે થયો તું આં ફરજ થી દૂર

કોણે કર્યો તને આમ કરવા મજબૂર ?

સદા ખુશ રેહજે ભાઈ મારા, ભલે રહે તું કબીલા થી દૂર.

તું તો હતો એક વખત,  આં પ્રતિષ્ઠીત કબીલા નો ગુરુર.

અગર પાછા ફરવાનું થાય મન, અગર દિલ ઝંઝોડે તને, અંતર જગાડે કોઈ સાધ;

તો ખટ ખટાવજે બારણું ઘરનું, યાદ રાખજે, લોહી ની સગાઈ અને ભાઈ બહેનની પ્રીત હોય છે ગાઢ.

પંખીડા મારા

પંખીડા મારા માળો છોડી, સિધર્યા પોતાને ઘર;

સુનું સુનું લાગે છે પાછું આજે, મારું આં ઘર;

ઉડી ગયા પંખીડા, રહી ગયાં, હું ને મારો વર.

ચેહલ પહેલ હતી, ચેહકતું હતું મારું આંગણ અને ઘર,

કિલોલ હતો, મૌજ હતી, સુનાપણ થી લાગે છે થોડો ડર.

મોટા થઈ, પંખીડા તો કરવાનાં જ લાંબી સફર;

પછી શા માટે ફરે છે તું  ઉદાસ; ઊઠ્ઠ, તારું કામ કર.

મોટા થઈ પંખીડા ઉડી જાય; છે એ તો કુદરત નો કાયદો અફર.

સ્વીકાર તું આં સચ્ચાઈ, ભલે લાગે એકલતા; તું ન ડર.

ભગવાન, તે બનાવ્યો હશે આં કાયદો; તો તુજ કાંઈ કર.
