CHILDREN'S DAY

Not just diminishing, almost perishing is our community

Innumerable elders like us, find we, tottering around, with decreasing immunity;

Where today children rare have become, thanks to causes complex n varied;

But our heads, like an ostrich, we have conveniently deeply buried

Indifference and silence this, is killing a society, once very vibrant

It's not that we have resources none; we have to try, n them hunt

Only if I were a multimillionaire, surely a corpus huge I would create;

That corpus, which would greatly help middle class parents to procreate

May a multimillionaire come forward one of these days, to an amount pay;

So that, have we can, at least a babies few by November next, on Children's day.

With a prayer to Ahura, to send a compassionate heart who loves Parsis.

So that, soon there will be an increase in the number of new born Parsis.

સુના હાથોમાં મારા હતાં નહીં આજે મારાં પ્યારા લાલ(બંગડી) ચિતલ;

કદાચિત એટલે જ જલાવી રહી હતી મને આં પૂર્ણિમાની ચાંદની શીતળ

આં લાલ ચિતલ વગર લાગે છે મારાં હાથોનું આં સોનું, બની ગયું છે પિત્તળ

દેવ દિવાળીએ, પૂનમના ચંદ્રમાંનું છે આજે ગ્રહણ, અને નદીના નીર છે તેજ અને ચંચળ

ઓહાપો આં કેવો આવ્યો જીવનમાં, તારા મૌત પછી રોજ મરું છું હું તલ-તલ

અચાનક રસભરેલું સફળ જીવન લાગે છે નીરસ અને નિષ્ફળ

અને તું, કહીં દૂર બેઠો આકાશેથી જોતો હશે, કેવી દઝાડે છે મને આં ચાંદની શીતળ.

વાવ્યા છે મેં, મારા પ્રેમાળ ભાઈઓ માટે અસીમ પ્રેમ થી આં કિંમતી બીજ

કહે છે "અનાર", બંને તરફથી, પ્રેમથી, નઝાકતથી, પ્રયત્ન કરી એને સિંચ

પ્રેમના ખાદ્ય-પાણીથી આં રિશ્તાની પર્વરીશ કરી, એને બનાવ મજબૂત અને ઘીચ.

મોટા ભાઈઓ ને નમસ્કાર, નાનાઓને આશિષ.

શું પ્યાર એક મુસીબત છે???

ક્યારેક તો લાગે છે કે બધી મુસીબતો નું એકમાત્ર જડ છે, પ્યાર

બહુ બધાં દુઃખોનું કારણ છે આં જ પ્યાર, એવો કરું છું આજે એકરાર

પ્યાર થતાંજ માનવ થઈ જાય છે બેબકલું, સાચેજ બેકરાર

બિચારાને  પતઝડની ઋતુમાં પણ, દેખાય છે બહાર

પ્યાર કારવવાળાઓની, દિલ આપી દેવવાળાઓની નિશ્ચિત જ છે હાર

ક્ષણભરમાં પ્યાર તો કરી બેસે છે, પણ પછી એમનાથી ઝેલાતો નથી એનો ભાર

બરબાદ કરી દે છે જીવન આખું, નષ્ટ-નાબૂદ કરી દે છે જીવન, આં પ્યાર

માટે પૂછું છું બધાં પ્રેમીઓને, શું પ્યાર એક મુસીબત છે, પોતાનીજ હાર???

TALK TO AHURA

After we pray, we must talk to Ahura, privately, in silence deep

Also, time this is correct, to contemplate n within, deeply peep

Do properly check; have  any vices like ego, anger within us seeped

If they have, quickly analyze how n why into you, they have heaped

Teach us O Adhura, prayers to overcome vices these, that have seeped

Remove them let us, with the power of prayer, once we have within, peeped.

An action quick n timely, help us will, to away these vices keep

Our prayers, to our subconscious mind, an alarm sounds; that does beep.

That's why after we daily pray; we must, for a minute, within peep.
