ROOTS
Roots, so very important are, to grow a luxuriant tree

from these shackles, a tree does not ever try to itself free.

The trunk however strong, does not survive, if it's roots are rotten;
                                    
same truth holds for our roots; we will perish, if they are forgotten
                                              
Today “multi-culture” is in fashion, hence to our roots, properly we tend not.

Just to marry out of the fold, many  wars are often  fought.

When in a “bhel-puri” situation, a child lives n grows

religious values different, often confuse him; that's  why, them, out he  throws.
                                              
Weak grow his roots, sadly, from the very beginning of life !

As he grows up, alongside grow his confusion and he lives in strife.

Strengthen our ROOTS we must; passing it on to generation next.
                                                    
Only if we know the Avesta, can we strengthen our children's future,  with this text.

POWER OF THE PRESS

Power of the press enormous is, normally beyond one's imagination

But used it must be with care utmost,  with proper  discrimination.

Gullible readers,  led should not be towards a wrong thought

Said it  is,  that a poet reaches where the Sun easily cannot

Responsibilities,  therefore are heavy on the shoulders of an editor

Listen he must to his conscience; not stories misleading, churn or stir.

To people mislead is a crime grave; perhaps wealthy make you, it may;

But remember dear editors, your responsibility is to lead people to the right way.

ભજન

કરું છું યાચના તને, સ્વિકારજે અર્પણ કરેલું આં પુજન

લખાવજે હાથ પકડીને અતિ સુંદર  એક  દિવ્ય ભજન,

સાંભળતા જ જેને, પ્રફુલિત થઈ ઉઠે તન મન.

શબ્દો ભલે હોય સીધા-સાદા પણ સ્પર્શે એ હૃદય-મન (ને)

સાંભળતા જેને, જાગે સુસ્ત થઈ ગય્લું, આં  અંતરમન

સંગીત જેનું ઝનઝનાવે હૃદય ના હર તારને, ઝુમે કણ કણ.

સ્વિકારજે આં પ્રાથના મારી, કરું છું જે, હૃદય, તન મન (થી)

PLANT TREES

Man, oh man, please grow some green;

If not a tree, plant at least a seed or bean.

This will help us keep our planet cool and serene.

In a little space grow a Mango tree, adorn your garden it will, like a queen.

A drumstick tree will ensure good health, if ill you have been

In small spots,  beautiful looking Money plants, I have seen.

To improve our oxygen and reduce pollution, we must be keen.

For this every human, from within, towards GREENERY must lean.

સાલ મુબારક

તમને નૂતન વર્ષ અભિનંદન કહું, યા  સાલ મુબારક

સારું રહે સ્વાસ્થ્ય તમારું, વધે તમારાં રોજી રજક

સુખ શાંતિ સાથે ખુબ વધે તમારું "ગુડ લક" .

જીવનમાં આગળ વધવાની સદા મળે તમને તક.

ખુશ બધાને રહેજો અને પોતે રહેજો ખુશ, એ છે આપણો હક.

આવતું સાલ, હર રીતે હોજો સૌને મુબારક.

TODAY ON  SANJAN DAY

ધરમ કાજે છોડીયું જયારે ઇરાન, દિશા હતી ધુંધળી, સાવ અંજાન

આવ્યાં હતાં જયારે બેસહારા બની, છોડી માદર વતન ઇરાન,

આપ્યો હતો સહારો જાડીરાણાએ, પહોચીયા જયારે સંજાણ.

ઓ પારસા-પુત્રો યાદ રાખજો આં ઇતિહાસ વડવાઓ નો મહાન;

આપ્યો હતો ત્યાગ મોટો, છોડ્યો હતો કિનારો, જોખમ માં નાખી પોતાનો જાન

ફરજ છે આપરી, કે જાલવિયે એમની આન બાન અને શાન.

અર્પણ કરી શ્રધ્ધાંજલી એમને, આપીએ વચન, વધારવા આબાદી ને કોમનું માન.

તતોળ, ઝનઝોડ તારા  આં  સુસ્ત અંતર મન ને, ઓ મુર્ખ માનવ

જો તું ઉઠીશ નહિ તો, ખેંચી લેશે તને એની તરફ, પેલો પાજિ દાનવ.

જાગ અને જગાડ તારું અંતર મન; નહિ તો  થઈ જશે તું  બરબાદ

સાંભળ અને સમજ પેલો અવાજ, પાર  ઉતારશે તને એ નાદ.

હર કોઇ મથે દેખાવા સુંદર, ચમકાવે એમનું તન;

પણ તું, દીવા ની જેમ, સાફ, ઝળહળતું હમેશાં રાખ તારું મન.

પૈસા, ધન કમાજે સદ બુદ્ધિથી, આપસે મીનો અશિશ્વંઘ તને  આશિષ

કરજે ભલાઇ એ ધન થી થોડી, ફરિશ્તાઓ બી ઝુકાવશે એમનું શીશ.

હર હમેશાં, સુખમાં, દુખમાં, તોળજે તારું અંતર મન ;

એજ રીતે જેમ રાખે છે તું  શુદ્ધ, તારું આં તન.
