Love me
naked beyond
flesh or bone,

trace your
fairytale dreams
to memory upon
my lips,

runaway your
passion and lust
across my eyes,

and never
let the sun
run to retire.

and deep inside
our eyes
we will define
our destiny,

and we
will never
let each other go.

and as all
of your love
falls out
of time..

nothing will
be left
but you and I.

so let me
be your
more,

and never
be satisfied
with less.

to be young
to die old
inside  your
angel eyes

and sing.

caught a smile
of you in
my mind today,

and it was
like my last
memory of
you,

was happening
right before
my eyes.

and everything
in life
was pure,

and  the kiss
upon your
lips was
just for
me.

and all
my souls
seasons
fell into
one,

and the
clouds in
the sky
were everything
in my eyes.

and you
in my
heart.

and love
was old
and it was
new.

and my soul
was sky
and you took
me with you.

today and
all of
our days
that might
follow.

and it was
easy to
see everything
in me

is you...

I am older now,
a little less
blind,

a little
bit wiser
to your
gypsey smile,

and I will not
ever fall
into it
again.

you never
had a plan
for me,

not the kind
that would
really last.

a kitten playing
with a ball
of yarn
and my heart
will never
recover again.

it will
just have
to live
with it's scratches
of valor
of loving you.

and such are
my days for
you,

you come in
and out of
them like sunlight
dancing naked
through a
tree.

time has no
reference to you,
and as all
of these
years pass,

I have come
to realize
some of the
things that
I gave you
I can never
get back.

but they call
to me from
now and
then,

like rainbows after
a storm.

or echos
of lost love
that bring
harmony to
my ears.

and so
I sit here
again.

and only you
and I know
why.

It was the
moment that
they were
going to
roll me into
surgery,

and it
was perfect
with all
of my loved
ones sitting
there.

my next
moments
in God's
hands
like
a sunrise
or a sunset.

and it was
not odd
what I thought
about most,

and of course
my wife it
was you,

I didn't want
to see you
cry my intentions
for you
were only
the best.

but there
we were
in tears
without nothing
being said.

and I thank
God for
that moment
as well.

for the 26 years
in the
making of
that moment,

when I
truly realized
that live
or die

we will never
reach our
end.

Your shadow
follows
behind you like
a prisoner
of your
past.

your eyes
have become
roses that
are slowly
dying..

and all
of my words
cannot help
her in
these nights,

where she
hides behind
these empty
walls.

at first light
of marriage
she was
ready to
set the
world on
fire.

put now
her fortunes
are just
empty pockets
of fate
buried deep in
her old
favorite jeans.

too young
too stupid,

in love
or whatever
you call
it at eighteen
years of age.

and I
send her
kisses and
quiet whispers,

that at twenty-eight
she might
grow to
understand.

that at
thirty eight
my dreams
might cover
her heart
like a
blanket.

and then she
will realize
that "yes,

I loved her
too."

In the
black and
white
photographs
of you
that I keep
deep inside
my mind.

I keep
them in view
in everything
that I do.

and someday
there will
be one
of you
and I.

and I will
remember
that moment
as if I
had lived
it a hundred
years or
more.

no illusions
or past lovers
to remember.

no broken
hearts or
dreams
to heal.

you are
my moment
when everything
is free,

and true

and under
a billion stars
at night,

your love
will bathe
me,

and your love
will call me
from the
depths
of my soul.

and I am
certain
that for
forever
I will see
a fairy tale,

there awaiting
me in your
eyes.

where angels
soar and
I am a child
of these
nights

no longer
afraid of
the black

or the
loneliness
here

without you.

and in
his eyes tonight
you will lie
but he doesn't
see you.

under the
cover of night
I am the
lightening strike
just outside
your window.

and the
muscle twitch
between your
thighs
that is me
as well.

in these
fairy tale dreams
of us.

and the rubies
I could
give you,
for you
to hang
around your
neck,

and the
whispers I
could share
with you,

before the
night expires
to the light.

and you would
taste of me
and me
of you
everywhere.

and though
death beckons
me in
these days,

I am far
richer for
having these
dreams at least
once.

and not
die the
pauper in
God's eyes.
