It is a
different view
that I know
that you
once had
for your
life,

and perhaps
I might be
the last
one to
stand-in
line for
your heart.

but here
we are
heart to
heart and
the shadows
of our pains
and doubts
cover each other
like two stars
over the
blackest of
nights.

and your
love may
hide from
me and your
dreams bend
out of sight,

but love has
no time line
to love.

and stars
eventually
find their
perfect place
in the night.

and for
that to God
I am eternally
grateful..

from the very
first time
I heard your
prayers.

from the very
first time
that I saw
your eyes.

and the
universe
began

again.

Stay and
talk with me
awhile,

let our friendship
be the melting
of water colors
that strive
to be something
more.

something
brighter...

let all of
the scales of
your life's
disappointments
fall around
you...

and let us
put back
the pieces
that you
love that
you have
lost.

I see you
now and you
see me , and
in trust
there is
no need
to hide.

and the
celebration
of deep wishes
are only
given once,

and free will
is our
calling,

and deep
meaningful
conversations.

and even
though now
sometimes
you sleep in
the darkness,

when it is
cold and dark
.
when we
remember nothing.

that love's
shows it
naked side
and hope is
lost in pains
salvation,

it is there
that true true
friendships
are gained
by the venture.

under high
clouds of
black and
white.

deep inside

Dakota thunder
skies

when your
heartbeat
is a beacon,

and love
is a rainbow
that your
heart has
brought to
me.

Now her

beauty falls

through the

hourglass

without purpose,

more like witnessing

the passing of

a prison

sentence from

25 to life than'

anything else.

someone should

of saved her

long ago.

not a knight

in shining

armor or

a prince riding

a majestic

white steed.

just someone

who would of

loved her,

and she

learn to love

him back.

she can hide

amongst

her  children's

over planned

hectic lives.

and pretend

there is

hearts gold

at the

end of some

rainbow,

but someday

even her

children  will

be old enough

to see it too.

the hourglass

the beauty lost.

the sacrifice of

a dead wife in

marriage.

Of all the
things that
have no
ending,

or a moment
of a beginning.

one breath
you were
just inside
my heart,

a gentle
touch perhaps,

or a kiss
that lasted
a moment
longer,

that somehow
took my
breath away.

and now
we sit,

and forever
is in
your eyes,

and love
is all
I see
in you.

and our life
is a miracle

of naked hearts
at play...

today we
will say
good-bye to
a friend of
my son who
past at
24 years
of age.

and I must
ask you
why?

and in
each day
to come
my son
will ask
you why?

and today
we will
bury him
and his
parents
will ask
you why?

and I will
pray for
my son and
I will pray
for their
son.

and I will
pray that
I never

take their
place.

A breif moment

of etiquette.

she sat

on the

bed with him,

uncertain of

the direction

their hearts

might take,

like reeds

by a lake

bending in

the wind

on a summer's

day.

lying

down to

fate could

possibly be

an option.

but he gazed

at her instead

and an empty

feeling came

over her.

and empty

moments piled

upon her one

by one

by one.

and the

touch of

his hand

grew cold

and odd

almost unfamiliar,

and if there

was once

a passion there ,

but then

it past in

a moment

and quietly

died,

without so much

as a fight

in his eyes.

meanwhile

in the next

room

a couple

****** like

wild animals

and the groans

and the pounding

of the high

stilt bed

escaped into

her room and

intoxicated

the air.

and she

sat there

as if

it was a

misplace

twilight dream

and he sat

there.

not knowing what

to do. so

he did what

he did best

nothing.

she was only

26.

at 36 it might

of been a

whole

new situation.

of love perhaps

or wild animals

*******.

or both.

but she would

be the one

to chose,

not this

lost moment

not this

moment of

captive

lost innocence

that forever

will lie

cold against

her face.

under your

delicious back

somersault
tumbles,

tickling my

chin as you

would
fly by

over head.

trampoline

spike
bounces

off my
Coppertone
brown

belly ,

as you
would

melt
over me

and my

thighs

applaud....

our passion

was a
three

ring circus
then.

contortionist,

soul grapplers

and sin.

and what
is left

to us
now but
scars

still
unreconciled,

inside

and out,

cuts unkind
that

validate
the ticket
and price

of our

love's admission

we each
paid full ticket
that summer.
