Of all the
things that
have no
ending,

or a moment
of a beginning.

one breath
you were
just inside
my heart,

a gentle
touch perhaps,

or a kiss
that lasted
a moment
longer,

that somehow
took my
breath away.

and now
we sit,

and forever
is in
your eyes,

and love
is all
I see
in you.

and our life
is a miracle

of naked hearts
at play...

today we
will say
good-bye to
a friend of
my son who
past at
24 years
of age.

and I must
ask you
why?

and in
each day
to come
my son
will ask
you why?

and today
we will
bury him
and his
parents
will ask
you why?

and I will
pray for
my son and
I will pray
for their
son.

and I will
pray that
I never

take their
place.

A breif moment

of etiquette.

she sat

on the

bed with him,

uncertain of

the direction

their hearts

might take,

like reeds

by a lake

bending in

the wind

on a summer's

day.

lying

down to

fate could

possibly be

an option.

but he gazed

at her instead

and an empty

feeling came

over her.

and empty

moments piled

upon her one

by one

by one.

and the

touch of

his hand

grew cold

and odd

almost unfamiliar,

and if there

was once

a passion there ,

but then

it past in

a moment

and quietly

died,

without so much

as a fight

in his eyes.

meanwhile

in the next

room

a couple

****** like

wild animals

and the groans

and the pounding

of the high

stilt bed

escaped into

her room and

intoxicated

the air.

and she

sat there

as if

it was a

misplace

twilight dream

and he sat

there.

not knowing what

to do. so

he did what

he did best

nothing.

she was only

26.

at 36 it might

of been a

whole

new situation.

of love perhaps

or wild animals

*******.

or both.

but she would

be the one

to chose,

not this

lost moment

not this

moment of

captive

lost innocence

that forever

will lie

cold against

her face.

under your
big tops.

delicious back

somersault
tumbles,

tickling my

chin as you

would
fly by

over head.

trampoline

spike
bounces

off my
Coppertone
brown

belly ,

as you
would

melt
over me

and my

thighs

applaud....

our passion

was a
three

ring circus
then.

contortionist,

soul grapplers

and sin.

and what
is left

to us
now but
scars

still
unreconciled,

inside

and out,

cuts unkind
that

validate
the ticket
and price

of our

love's admission

we each
paid full ticket
that summer.

to be
even for
the shortest

of times,

under your
big tops.

the greatest

show on
earth.

When I
was a young
boy,

a girls eyes
were always
so beautiful
and pure,

then as a
young man
they seemed to
lose a little
of their
color and
fade.

and now as
an old man
their eyes
are mostly
broken
with sharp
edges and
wrinkled
spaces,

where the
tears of
life and love's
disappointment
came to dry.

but once
their eyes
were the sun...

and then the
*******
lovers came,

and left
them with
only shallow
words of
poetry to
cover and
mend their
souls...

and now the
sun hides
from view,

nothing worth
to see here

anymore....

Your kisses
are like
baby's breath
in a field.

sacred
innocent,

the arc
of your hips
move like
Thunder on
a desert plain
as you
make love
and move
over me.

and as
your tongue
searches
every part
of my body
and soul,

I feel you
everywhere.

you are the
sum of
all things,

the angel
of mercy of
this coal
black sky

tonight.

Into

our eyes

the abyss

of true

lovers,

the still

breathing

of quiet

hearts,

that offer

to one

another

true

sacrifice.

it is a

shadow

dream

poem.

an ultimate

letting

go of

tormented

moments

of our

past,

the giving

of everything

to a

idea that

needs

no explanation.

not to

each other.

we are

the cycles

of suns

and moons.

the birth and
death of
hearts,

the undoing

of all

that was

done before.

and my

soul goes

out to you

with each

moments

passing.

that you

will have

it close

to you,

and be

one with

it for all

the moments

of time.

and in that

my journey

will always find

true purpose

and fire.
