universe

and everything
moves with

and sirens
sing
and only
you can
hear.

and the
faded pages
of days
gone by
fall before
you like
naked sorrows
at your
feet,

and you
stand before
me the
keeper of
heaven's
gate.

the prayer
answered to
a hopeless

dream.

your breath
is soft
and deep
like a birds
wings
climbing  on
a high
summer
wind.

to be
near you
is to be
calm and
soothed
like a
pacific tide
rolling over
a sea shelled
beach.

you fill
the places
in a soul
that have
been opened
deep and
left to
dry under
the pain
and solitude
of life.

and you
do it
all so
effortlessly
as if it
was your
calling.

and as  I
sit before
you

with God
as my
witness.

I am
healed.

deep pools
in your eyes
of a amber
honey
pour.

stature in
your walk
like a
princess
receiving
a crown
in some
procession
from long
ago.

and you
move through
your day
with the
confidence
of no
stone left
unturned
or question
unanswered.

and where
might your
day dreams
play,

and laughter
echo under
the mid
winter
solstice
sun.

and who
might get
the gift
of the
shelter
of your
angel
smile.

for a moment
to bask
in it's
celestial
warmth.

not I.

the day
will
begin and
end.

and I
will
be the
lesser
for it.

your heart
rests at
God's side,

the beating
is deep and
full measure.

I dance
in and out
of your
smile,

like a
child playing
in the
sprinklers
under a
hot summer
sky.

your hair
falls across
your face
in gentle
arcs of
grace and
fall colors,

and as
time
moves by

I wish again
upon your
eyes,

that we
could be
12 and
summer
would never
end,

and that
the cool
splash of
facet water
would last

forever.

there is
a soltice
in your
eyes,

it brings
a change of
season
to every one
that is
around
you.

a gypsy
wind through
your hair,

a deep pool
feeling
inside our
chests,

and then
you take
our breath
away.

I the
old fool,

you the
angel of
your husbands
mornings,

and the
universe
is almost
perfect,

for I
have met
you

once.
