Alone part 2
The trail is gorgeous as I gaze ahead
So perfectly faithful that I dare not tread.
Pillowed Daisies tempt me to rest my head
On the dreamy petals of their scented bed.

Is it romance, or passion that I hear?
Those sweet voices singing into my ear
Alluring me to that long pathway I fear!
They are quite beautiful, joyful and dear.

Shall I go, innocently lured by their charms?
Should I prance like a doe into mystery’s arms?
Oh, how their pure smile, comforts and warms
But logic stops me like a thousand alarms.

The Hurricane Irma
Colossal daemon of the sultry sky
Roaring monster, climbing from the oceans weary wave
Staggering, recklessly, mercilessly
Savagely pursuing vital fluids like a vampire to endure
Slurping inlets dry, ripping homes from mother and child
In pursuit of another quenchless drink
Like a drunk hitting all the local bars
Entangling the guiltless in your wild
Whirling atmosphere of destructive squall
Moaning in agony like dead spirits trapped in hell
Crying a million tears of dauntless throbbing rain
Soaring sideways beneath your dark shadowed wing
Indurating earths fertile ***** with mighty surge.
Die! Gloomy cyclops, beast of one still eye,
Blinded only when your habit is no longer fed
With balmy breaths and endless draughts of spirit
Your mighty tide of thoughtlessness seeks a place to perish
So, tranquility can again blanket the world with comfort.

WHEN SUN SETS
Swan, sleeping Neath twilights echoed sun hues
Poised innocently on the crest of shore
In dreams fused with sounds of songbirds fading.
Distant winds rush to steal eves last lost cloud
Whilst on the horizon stands sanguine moon
Softening the delusions of night views.
As ebony wings fan over earths floor
Silent hour phantoms arise, wading
Through the creeping vapors swiftly to enshroud
Their voiceless hopes, that change will seek them soon.
Calmly the world leans, waking flowers call
The young beams to warm their faces
And the swan unfolds wide wings to enthrall
Everything that encounters its graces.

Moons dramatic Play
Royal moon, dawning on majestic Throne
Shining silver face, bright lips of rosy glow
Balanced upon the misty ocean wave alone
Rising like a king in the opening show

With glistening robe casting a luminous trail
Upon the fluctuating expressions of the boundless sea.
Climbing the heavens as if by sublime wings soft and pale
Embellishing restless clouds harmonizing silently

With daylights dancing azure shades, like watercolors run
Down nights’ canvas painted with the brush of morning breath
Almost blinded with the coming of the fiery sun,
Moon fades into a daydream on the soft cushion of temporary death.

Total Eclipse 2017
Moon tiptoes unseen across the noon sky
Casting no shadow beneath its silent wing
Unnoticed by the busy human eye
Till the moment it appears as a King
Adorned with a stately crown of fire
Ethereal, divine, unworldly orange ring
It becomes the entity of desire
A golden globe of transitory bling
Suspended like a mist of blinding of light
Innocent naked purity now a radiant shrine
Cloaking daytime into starry night
Paling the sunset’s glow on the ocean line,
On a chariot between the sun and earth
Like a Majestic spirit exposing its worth.
Then returns the phases of its steadfast birth.

Song bird
Tiny song bird with folded wing
Perched upon the fountain
Lovely tune that you shall sing
To wake up old man mountain.

Like a Lyricist concealed
In the leafy boughs of thought,
Soothing melodies revealed
Before the messenger is sought.

I follow your delightful sound
Carried by the breeze
Hoping you will come around
I wait beneath the trees.

Fluttering from branch to sky
Poetry in your flight
Colors dance before my eye
Whence I have you in my sight.

Little mystic sparrow
Gliding on the air
Like a silvery arrow
With sunlight on you fair

From your nest within the tree
Dewy leaves and tangled vine
You first learned how to hover free
High above the earth divine.

A Sonnet on LIFE
How delightful is life, shall I ponder?
With exposed heart and open eyes, I wonder:
As I dance on earths ***** do I see
And feel Natures elegance abundantly?
Do I smell the incense when soft winds blow?
Do I perceive sweet pollen when it fly’s like snow?
Does the song of the bird encourage me to fly?
Will the sun and moon reflect in my eye?
Is my hair aroused from the wings of the dove?
Does my tongue taste the languages of love?
Do I hear the music in the tumbling rain?
Oh, yes. All these wonders enchant my brain
Even my dreams paint with colors of the sky
Teaching me lessons of life’s precious high.

Blessed 2017
We are blessed with a child, let nature sing
Let the spirit fly free from the grace of the wing
Let loves voice be heard from heaven to earth
And rock the cradle of this pure infant’s birth.

The newborn is free from the care of the womb
Dewy eyes slowly open like new buds in bloom
Nurtured by mother’s shelter and God’s life cord
First small breath of life, first moment adored.

First light, first sight, first bellowing scream
As translucent lids rouse from innocent’s dream
Feeling life’s fresh breath on its tender new skin
Greeted by beloved parents, weeping turns to a grin.

Fly Free
Fly free across the universe, sweet dove!
Let your feathers sparkle with the glory of love.
Be yourself among valleys and highlands of kings
Let heaven see the power of your wings.
Reach for the stardust, your dream’s to be free
The world is you nest of opportunity!

Sawgrass Lake Park
Deep in nature the boardwalk turns
Through maple swamps and giant ferns
So many creatures there are to see
amazing for photography!

Along the canal odd sounds are heard
A frog, a gator, or native bird
A snake may slither atop the moss
A turtle may make its way across.

Under the bridges a limpkin may call
The Heron, ibis, or dragonfly small
All hunting and fishing together for food,
Observing, put’s one in a joyful mood.

Adventuring deeper onto the sandy trail
You may see armadillo, lizard or apple snail.
Small creatures energetically on their way
Even a fox or panther may be seen at play.

By chance or careful eyesight, you may detect
The wondrous habitat of a tiny insect.
Eagle, osprey, hawk, even a kite
May make a magical overhead flight.

The colorful flower garden can light up your eye
When it lures the fluttering butterfly.
All creatures have their own distinct power!
And you must view sawgrass lake from the tower.

My name is Passion
My name is Passion, soft as a flower,
I am the shadow locked in the tower.
I am the dust of a hundred years
I am the rust made from golden tears.

I am the song in the back of your mind
A fading vision of the artist gone blind.
I am the thought you may overlook
I am the clover folded within a book.

I will sing to the world with words unheard
I will fly around you like a tiny songbird
I will laugh, I will cry, I will give you my heart
I will love you until the night I part.

My name is Passion, small as a tear,
Light as the day moon when the sky is clear.
I whisper your name while my mind’s asleep
and kiss you in dream, then I smile and I weep.

My love had wings that carried me
Like an eagle across the blue
We smiled like we were spirits Free
Like the world was made for two.

We captured visions of nature’s truth
And held them to our heart
our memories had eternal youth
But time and love must apart.

like a thousand years of silence It seems,
since we strolled into the day
our laughter faded to dying dreams
My heart feels old and gray

I grasp a cloud to mask the pain
But sun shines through the mist
Rainbows may soar and tears may rain
Winds stole the love I’ve missed.

Should I dream or should I sleep?
Should I live another night?
Should I sing or should I weep?
Should I run into the light?

Alone part 1
Upon the earth, I tread alone
on unmarked flowery graves unknown
the wind may sing, the wind may moan
like solitude within the stone.

Many a fancy line I have penned
But words are lonely in the end
Thoughts may dance and dreams pretend,
They have always been my closest friend.

I take a breath within my mind
And leave my quiet world behind
Afraid but brave, Observant but blind
Innocence touching mystery, undefined.
I close my eyes and think of youth
How life is a changing stream
Although with age comes deeper truth,
It gave foundation for our dream.

The body may weaken, and loveliness fade,
The mind can fail to recall
But let your soul not be afraid
We are as moon beams when they fall.

Silvery clouds adrift within the brain
A feather on a pond
The rainbow in a drop of rain
The magic in the wizard’s wand.

The sun gives children the light to grow
Innocence all arrayed,
Wisdom comes to us, we glow
As we saunter in the shade.
