The blowing wind can be so good to feel
As it blows gently through your hair~
And it can create the most lonesome sound
Blowing through a roof that needs repair~
It can ever so hauntingly
Rushing past the oldest building at night~
As it rattles the doors and windows too
And has you almost curl up in fright~
But without the wind we would be in trouble
For it brings many good things too~
We would really miss it ever so
If the wind it never blew~
In the wind we see the leaves all dance
As it cleans and sweeps the earth~
It works so closely with the rain
The wind has so much worth~
It can generate electricity
It carries the wild flower seeds and grain~
It makes our sail boats fly along
Up the lake and back again~
The wind is our friend in lots of ways
And we can use its power too~
To fly our kites within itself
Away up in the sky so blue~
Love the wind but keep in mind
It can course much damage it is true ~
When it blows too hard and way too fast
We have seen what it can do~
But like all things in nature
If we work with it we will find~
It can be our friend and much use to us
Through day and night and all the time~

We've been hearing noises in our roof
Dad thought it could be bats~
Mum said we've just moved in
It could well be rats~
So dad got up to take a look
And you would never guess~
He found two little possums
And my goodness what a mess~
There was little bits of chewed up veggies
And some cores of apples too~
Little pieces of pumpkin skin
And dried up crusts of bread more than a few~
They must have been really well fed
For they wasted so much it seems~
And all the time that they were busy
I was away deep in my dreams~
But my dad he caught the both of them
And blocked up where they got in~
Tonight it will be quiet mum said
There will be no din~
Dad let them go out among the trees
And boy did they scramble high~
As they both climbed up the highest tree
Away up towards the sky~

Clouds of black , Grey and green
Fill the sky this night~
Lightening flashes all about
within the clouds so bright~
The wind is mild, still silence reins
Trees move quietly in the waiting~
Leaves turn over upon the ground
A good storm I'm debating~
House lights now flicker on and off
The feeling it is there~
One can smell the freshness clear
Within the mountain air~
A spot of rain just hit my nose
I must hurry home~
As much as I do love the rain
I'm not facing this alone~
My home it is now in view
I see a light there burning~
The storm it nears with discontent
And for shelter I am yearning~
I now climb the steps to home
the rain comes tumbling down~
Papers , leaves and small sticks they fly
The rain now teaming upon the ground~
Trees now bending too and fro
The wind it howls now wildly~
And only just awhile ago
The wind it blew so mildly~
Lightening flashes , thunder roars
Rain flies in all directions~
Close that door a voice now cries
Its not the time for inspection~
Snug now and warm with a pet I love
Cuddled up beside me~
Sitting by our open fire
In a gown that almost hides me ~.

Wee ***** Waggles was the whitest whale
And from the day he was born he was a wiggler ~
He wiggled and waggled so very much
His friends called him ***** the wiggling jiggler~
You could always find ***** in a crowd of whales
As he would make the wildest waves as he was going~
Wilder waves than any whale could make
Most of all when he surviced to do his blowing~
Other whales loved playing with ***** Waggles
And they would swirl around in Willys waves so wildly~
Willys mother would always be watching him
As she wondered around swimming mildly~
And Wee ***** Waggles was so easy to watch
Because Wee ***** was so wonderfully white~
For Wee ***** was so wonderfully white
He could even be seen at night~
All the fish in the ocean how they loved *****
When ***** would wonder their watery way~
And they all loved Wee ***** so very much
They'd cry out "Oh ***** stay with us and play"~
Wee ***** Waggles was the whitest whale
The most popular whale in the water~
Mrs whale , Willys mum wondered just what
Would have happened if she'd had a daughter~.

I saw a little bunny , It looked so funny
As it hopped around in the morn~
The grass was wet , I got as close as I could get
So very early in the dawn~
It was only a baby , All alone and maybe
It could have lost its way~
I wished there all alone I could take it home
It looked so all alone that day~
I then stood where I sat and it saw my hat
And hopped further and further away~
No more was the bunny that looked so funny
No more did the funny bunny play~
Its eyes were big , Its ears were long
Its tail a little ball of fluff~
It had cute little feet so short and so neat
And its coat was as furry as a buff~
It hopped all around without a sound
As it played there in the early morn~
The grass was so wet , I got as close as I could get
So very early in the dawn~
A rather fat little bunny that looked so funny
Oh , I never will forget~
The very way I saw it play
How Id love one for a pet~

Trees grow up and so do we
Rain falls down as we can see~
Birds fly over in the sky
Rabbits just hop slowly by~
Grubs crawl across,water flows down
Ants they crawl around and around~
Bees the buzz here and there
Leaves they dance within the air~
Children they run all over the place
Because children take up lots of space~
Lots of things all go lots of ways
All directions , All my days .

( From Children's poetry I have written )

Starlight crystals .. Moonbeams bright
How you shine within my night~
Higher than thought are you there
Shining silently beyond compare~
Going in time , turning so
As in your space time and light years you go ~
How you came to be so far back in time
Sublime creation within my mind~
Lasting forever, having been all of my days
As you shine so you show me the way ~
Should I ever dream of more than your light
I would still always admire you within the night~
Far more about you , how I wish I could know
But for now I will watch you , As upon earth I grow~.
