Oh Corono!!
T VELMURUGAN May 2020
Corona has confined humanity,
The lockdown would be now for eternity.
Humans would hesitate to step out of their abode
Recovering from the corona is walking on a long road
People would pause to touch their owns
The only mode for contact would be through phones
Corona has levelled down everyone from the poor to the king
It has taught the entire human race of its worth by making them
suffering
Now the history would be not, before Christ and after Christ
It would be now written as before corona and after corona fight.
Nature is blooming, without humanity, to its best.
Birds chirping, deer leaping and dolphins are swimming without any
rest.
It now the time to realise for us, humanity as a whole
The world can survive without any human soul.
We still have the time to ponder and pause
To see and realise that out of all the living beings on this planet
We are nothing, but merely one of those .....

Never raised question
at your bright soft gentle face,
Knew, you came from
the beautiful gracious Koshur race.

Seeing your bruises
I stunned and surprised,
Asked whether it is true
I Doubted and tried.

Who left you these bruises?
No, these are wounds, you sighed.
Given by your country men,
You said with averting smile.

I nodded my head and denied.
Took it, I, lightly,
Touched them hard, said you lied.
Didn’t you utter anything,
You looked at me cried.

I pressed it further,
You didn’t move thither.
Scratched to bleed,
You silently screamed.
Unknowingly, in you, I sown ,
the Painful seed.

Unmindfully I asked to forget those sore marks,
forgive the oppressor and give them chance.
Shamelessly I asked to reconcile
It’s absurd you cried and went in trance.

I asked, your forgiveness
Didn’t give it, your feet raced.
Forget it I told,
You turned away your gaze.
With tears and broken heart,
You fazed.

I didn’t give you wound,
But yes unconscious pain.
Nor I oppressed you,
Only showered praiseworthy rain.

Let me soothe your wounding fight,
Let me stand for your birth right.
Drenched in guilt, I am standing,
for you to come, am waiting.
with the hope, to you embrace me again,
to forgive and remove the blood of your wound
which I got in my rough hands…….

- A human who behaved inhumanely.

Umer: Where did you go?
T VELMURUGAN Feb 2018
Where did you go?
I searched for your shadow in the Koshur valley,
Dug deeper in those cloudy glaciers
Fished in the trench of cold Jhelum
Where did you swim off?
I ran atop the Chinar,
To smell your fragrance in those dry leaves
Where did you disappear?
In my flowing Pheran,
Running across the streets of Downtown,
Shouting, calling to your soul,
Where did you freeze?
Read tirelessly namaaz in His Holy abode,
To see your image in those prayers,
Where did you immerse?
Where did you go?
Koshur- kashmir
Jhelum- a river flows in Kashmir valley
Chinar- tree specie
Pheran- a traditional attire of Kashmir
