We spend our lives finding the one
Looking anywhere under the sun

One that make us forget to inhale
We want everything perfect
But we never seem to expect
That life isn’t a dream
It's not as glamorous as it may seem
As our careers become most important
We see how life is different
As we stop looking for the one
All we want is someone
Someone that makes us happy
Someone that's a little sappy
Someone that knows us
Someone that loves us
We can then find the one

He teased me and made me smile
We sat and talked for a while
He said he was different from any other guy
I could not see how that was a lie
He seemed to be so pure
I thought he was my cure
Then when we were apart
He went and broke my heart
Then without a second glance

But I just could not see
