An eye
Follows
The water to a rose

Below
A waterfall

Until it's frozen
DuBray Mar 2018
You would not be free
To protest:
"Don't cut me!"

What if you were a tree?

With eyes to see
And a brain to think
Would you shrink
At the acts of human beings?

What if you were a tree?

To see and hear
Human beings history of
Terror

What would you think?

Epilogue:

"The hidden forest remains still.
Without humans to cut and ****."

Dewdrops
Silent
Soft plops on rocks
While my heart tick tocks

Dewdrops
Slip off
Treetops
And tulips

And disappear
Like thoughts
Into Silent
Soft Seer

Dee let the dew
Be
Me
And     You

Until
We
Free   Fall
From the tallest tree

Changing into other
Water
Beads
Nourishing our progeny

I like their simplicity
The wind - their flexibility
Their life rings - older than
We

I like the way their made -
Give me shade
They never complain -
Even when it rains

They give their love
In timber and
Wood
I protest using a saw or

Hammer -
Guess I must be
A tree
Hugger!

Epilogue:

One day -
The great sublime
I'll rest in my box-sized
Pine

This silent movie is a
Mystery
The First World War
Reeling in black and white

I wonder what it was like in color?

Faces looked to the camera
I could have been one of them
A soldier with a bayonet
Or a prisoner

Yet I am a viewer
Watching many years afterwards
Observing the planes and Bombings
In this silent movie museum

As I leave the silent movie
Museum
I hear the hum of history
Blowing in these city trees

Class do not rhyme
The following:

Fire with desire
Walk with talk
Dog with God

Wild with child
Ground with sound
Pool with cool

And never
Ever -

Poet
With I know it
