Slide past the fabric
Towards warmth and abundance
Yet will trip once there
Haiku
Dreams are my enemy
Lying like alchemy
Promising hope and gold
While interrupting reality
What brought together
Two lovers to be
One to be seen
The other whispering
Sharing the earth
With splendid glee
An appetite to feed
All that can be
One to warm
The space between
Other to cool
All breathing
By strength
Both guarantee
Time well spent
By living
On our knees
For all to see
For shall not covet
One another

As we are free
Like all the seas
We do love
All of our brothers

But not to look
Inside a book
For your rules
We glide upon

Instead to read
What our hearts need
Only the tools
We have drawn
If guilt and regret
are our executioners and the ax,
then our shame are the blocks
we brought along to rest our heads upon
Once deep inside
It takes a prison break
Leaving heartache
And chaos in its wake
The noble take upon
their ill in silence

Laying in waters
wishing cool yet
never warm enough

With a slight wake
yet too still to feel

In a shallow basin
that fills too deep

Thrown all rumors
In a room alone

Hoping for privacy
while seen by all
