It took my love, It took me down
Called my inside to be found
And I saw my reflection in the mirror of your face
Till the landslide brought me down

Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I write what's changing the ocean inside?
Can I hold the reasons for my life?

Mmm, mmm, mmm

Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes it bolder
Even music gets older and I'm getting older too

Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes it bolder
Even music gets older and I'm getting older too
Oh, I'm getting older too

Awh, take my love, take me down
Awh, you called my inside to be found
And if you see my reflection in the mirror of your face
Well, the landslide brang it down

And if you see my reflection in the mirror of your face
Well, the landslide brang it down
Oh, the landslide brang me down

Continually Breathtaking
Tyler Derksen Oct 2011
Find me here,
I've forgotten you already.
Images from a distort memory,
Re-invading my soul.

I live as if I don't know you,
To see you arises my heart.
A glitch in forgetting,
Re-awakens everything.

Your continually breath, taking,
So hold me now from this, shaking.
You leave me frightened and in awe,
Like the first love I ever saw.
Continually breath taking!

Memory loss, what a curse,
To drown me in a pit of hell.
The loss of all you've ever loved,
The names of all you could ever tell.
To see you here again...
Just see you once again!

...And I remember, everything,
These memories in song they sing,
Forgetting life without you,
To live in a world without two!
Your...

Continually breath, taking,
So hold me now from this, shaking.
I've been frightened and alone,
Your the first love I've ever known.
Continually breath taking!

Continually breath, taking,
So hold me now from this, shaking.
...but memory's going once again,
and I know I'll see you,
I'm not worried...
Your continually breath taking!

My Sacred
Tyler Derksen Oct 2011
O my sacred,
Shower me with your greatness.
Bring it up to my neck,
And drown me in the lake bed.

O how secret, and so delicate,
Fear in trust involved.
It's not a secret anyways,
If nothing's getting solved.

I love, I trust, I need you,
In fear I live all time.
My words in hope to mean them,
So that you'll say "You're mine"

O my sacred,
Take myself and make it yours.
This day is nothing to you,
Your love fills my empty lake bed.

A love, that's secrets tale,
One month, forever it lasted.
The tale of two, of many,
At each other, love was blasted.

No one way to say it right,
Four ways to say I Love You.
Just take me as I am,
And know that I'm thinking of you.

O my sacred,
Unto you I do trust.
No lake bed full of:

doubt, anger, mistrust, jealousy, regret, pain, hurt, love, hate, lust, health, disease, space, time, pity, indulgence, sorrow, mourning, evil, distress, affliction, trouble, breaks, insignificance, remorse, agony, peril, skeptics, insecurities, uncertainty, question, suspicion, difficulty, dilemma, depression, belief, worry, conviction, cruelty, discredit, hesitation, unhappiness, calamity, travesty, grief, hardship, loss, suffering, weeping, sadness, heartache, lament, excruciation, torture, soreness, discomfort, penalty, torment, torture, harm, malicion, malevolence, prejudice ,detriment, disservice, misfortune, abuse, effort, labor, endeavor, strength, power, energy, operation, mistreat, undermining, blemish, flaw, disservance, misery, injury, exertion, struggle, trial, madness, wrath, rampage, harassment, irritation, exasperation, rage, tantrum, infuriation, mischief, inequality, alienation, aggravation, annoyance, contagion, trauma, damage, insults, violation, wrong, flesh, or ****.

...ANYTHING between us,
Vanquished because I must!

Backbone Bricked Love
Tyler Derksen Oct 2011
A transgressional constant,
For a world made so pure.
A backbone bricked love,
For the same world so hurt.

Through the history and the ages,
A splendorous, scandalous gust.
Brought down from heavenly storehouses,
To be used by all of us.

This back bone bricked love,
Holding my soul completely together.
Only backbone bricked love,
Can help us find each other.

Small words past on,
As history has died.
Say a simple word,
Of what really rings inside.

One heart beat for another,
Two parts sing of a melody.
Three simple words they are, yet
Four meanings for I love thee!

May your love be bricked up like a wall,
Strong and lasting never to fall.
The backbone for any person to call,
Is that of undying love for your all.

It's the only thing that's true,
Because it's all I can do,
I backbone bricked love you!

The Way Panda's Are
Tyler Derksen May 2014
Panda's are beautiful when they sneeze which goes "squeak", Aloft her days so innocent amd meek.

Panda's are beautiful when they're fierce without end, Finding new pathways making "No Exit" signs bend.

A Panda knows it's beauty by the rush of the leaves and the wind behind it's ear, Even though it's cold at times there's always a Tiger near. But one Tiger watches each year, And sees every tear, Without hesitation he draws near.

And time passes and leaves fall, Seemlessly with no worries at all. And footsteps cross, change, end but retrace to join on adventures again. Oh the meaning of something so small, Night comes and covers them all.

And again the wind blows across her ear,
But this time making her warm, Cause he growls for her and pours his Tigerish words along the wind in hopes that they might reach something dear.

The rustle in the midnight when no wind blows, As silence becomes them something is found. Something small, the Tiger picks up, but bigger than her heart. It's the key that unlocks everything, It was laying on the ground, Nothing is left un opened as the wind through her heart shows.

She loves him and he has always returned it. Though rain may force it's meaning to change, It only defines deeper the warmth of the wind...

Panda's are beautiful when they sing the wrong notes, The right ones, the flat ones or completely different song. They'll reach his heart deeply as they rustle along!

To Look Back
Tyler Derksen Oct 2011
For the one whom nobody chases,
She's the one with the red laces.
A withdrawn eye for so long,
A missed glance evr'y where, she sings no song.

She's always chasing the day,
Yet she's always facing the day.
And maybe an eye, a look, an anything,
Today, would help her spirit stay.

So look back 'cause she knows those red laces to well!

A Mile So Far, So Close
Tyler Derksen Oct 2011
So many miles and feet to go,
I'm covering kilometers.
The petal's to the metal,
And I'm worried about my odometer.
The speeds to fast,
For the pace of life.
Continuously avoiding,
This kind with simple strife.

A mile so far,
A mile so close.
Your only a mile away.

The race to find desires,
I grow tired.
For something built for downfall,
I retire.
The goal for something newer,
Is acheived.
For the truth that drives my soul,
I turn to Thee.

Euphoria, Gloria!
And all I can think of for this story is... You!

A miles' so far,
But yet's, so close... Worth running to!
To find a home,
Where life's dreams may roam!
One heart to last a lifetime,
One beat to last one mile.
Thats all I need to give the rest of them,
To my one and all!

Because there's so many miles in the world,
And only one of them is the longest.
And only this one is the closest.

A mile so far,
A mile so close.
Your only a mile away.

Be still,
Turned into an expression of.

You're miles away, and...
I miss you.
Your across the room,
And I...

Worth My Time
Tyler Derksen Jul 2012
As I stand at the edge of every second of my life,
Screaming my name as if it's worth my time,
Within the burgundy of steel and wheels,
Were hands once dry as a heart showed it's sign.

Worth my time is the struggle in the night,
It was worth my time to try and make things right.
Worth my time is a heart in need of me,
It was worth all of mine to carry all of thee.

Echo's of memories as vagrant as you now,
Like a song understood even without words,
I'm still screaming a name as if it's worth it,
And off the mountain's echo, yours is heard.

I've walked these miles too far without a fountain to pour my love,
And the streams from which I drink seem so far from up above.
A heart I see sometimes broken from the storms that doth blow,
The only thing worth my time is to express them to one I know!
Sleep sideways or down, as the comfort of your bed is amiss,
I'm holding you with every breath that I take and don't worry, it is my bliss.

Worth my time is a heart filled without,
Love!
Down hard taken roads there is forgiveness,
Dove!
Worth too much to handle is it's much amazing worth,
I'll gladly walk with you as we travel along this earth!

Unseen Leyes
Tyler Derksen Oct 2011
Don't close your eyes,
Although you despise.
The reaction of my generation,
Amounts to nothing in many lives.
Few have seen the lies of these lives,
And fewer can mend what we've contrived.

Many think they can, but everyone knows:
A damaged hammer cannot fix another,
And those whose hearts are short of truth,
Can only infect each-other.

The lies of the eyes contrive skeems like spies,
Who all report back to the unseen eyes!

Love/Hate
Tyler Derksen Oct 2011
Come out me soul so I can take what's mine, these thoughts of man send shivers down my spine. **** off these things or let them get out of here, this love's to vast for you to get even near... Then I saw a face with lines like a page, your words fell upon it til the end of my age. A mask made from pages made from faces I know, this mask mine to wear reads the love I must show!

Engulfed inside the fierce vulnerability of my heart as the flames of hell melt the sole of your boot upon my chest, suffocation without a soul under my boot is a small price to pay for your heart to live so I may lay in hopes to be resurrected knowing you're there waiting for me!

‎Everything under the sun is why you're beautiful. From lighting up the moon at night to the radiance of another day beginning at the edge of the sky! The lightning in the night shocks my soul in where to find you and the shrinking distance between us finds me running in the rain!

Tyler Derksen Oct 2011
Hungry is the soul, lost is the mind. Hungry is the soul for something to find.
Lost is the soul, nothing to find. Lost is the soul from the hunger of the mind.
Starving is the heart, created for love. Starving is the heart miles away from above.
Created was the heart, miles up above. Created was the heart which is starving for love!

Play Your Luck
Tyler Derksen Apr 2015
There once was a man from Uck-A-Duck,
Who found out a way to play his luck.

With his pet duck he would oysters shuck,
And hide bills, ***** and playful stuff.

Along street-vender's who don't give *****,
Stop by his shells and play your luck.

No matter you have money or any bills,
You'll play along with the ducking thrills.

If you win or lose suppress your chills,
You'll be another one of these oyster kills!

For You In Thirty Years
Tyler Derksen Oct 2011
Wouldn't it be cool if God stopped me in instant and extracted my mind from life.
Only to find myself thrown here again thirty years later with my wife.
No memories in check or recollection of time,
Yet soul and body grown-up with this confused mind.
How easy it would be to not handle the journey,
Yet living with out reason to love thee.

If he showed me those thirty years and to my knowledge I discover.
Ahead of learning trying to find a lover without knowing how to love her.
May it be you that I would discover through God's uncharacter,
If I knew I'd rather it not be to know false love before the alter.
Because I'd rather God be God and in time show me His dessert.
I hate it and I cry but I want love that overcame hurt.

I guess that's what trust in God is,
But it might also be what lust in you is.
So I guess I'll risk trust for you're His,
Lust has been paid for along with all of my sins!

In The Way Of Beauty
Tyler Derksen Oct 2011
Her eyes were the gateway into her soul,
And the soul I was unable to captivate.
Intangible was the body that lay before me,
Her heart was more than just resting beneath the rib taken from me!

My eyes affixed upon such a creature so fair,
Nor the aspects and vertexes rerouted my gaze.
My vision secured to my soul held within,
A creature of beauty much more than her ways!

Handcrafted by beauty, for beauty, in beauty thy name,
One eye laid upon thee for one in the same.
So a body I've seen, but it's just in the way,
An essence is there I could stare at all day!

"I couldn't stop looking at her, not any part of her, just her!
Even while I write this, it is not her that I see,
These words forever paint a canvas of who she is to me!"

He Likes You When Your Mad
Tyler Derksen Oct 2011
He likes you when you're mad,
He likes you when you're sad,
He likes every moment together you've had,
He likes you enough to talk to your dad!

He likes you when he doesn't know,
To the ends of the earth he'll even go,
Til on his brow cold ice doth show,
Your path he'll make through 6 feet snow.

And as his body doth fully freeze,
Stands all his soul against strongest breeze,
On statued lips his heart doth seize,
Are words to you, three words are these!

If I Find You
Tyler Derksen Oct 2011
I don't feel anything anymore,
Too many times that sorry has been counted.
How can I love you when I can't love myself,
The only bit left in me has been given to you.

My hearts grown hard from the love not received,
An empty vessel in need of someone who in me believes.
Myself is hard to find when all I want to do is impress,
But somehow you bring me forth and carry me from my distress.

Who would want to be with me,
A broken messed up man.
A boy is more like it,
In search of some impossible dam.

"She's out there", they say, "you'll find one someday."
Well I found her in May,

And through June I was found.
I've been through this before,
In past years where my heart lay.

You help me to be myself,
Can't you see it's what I've been longing for.
I didn't expect it to happen this way,
And I'm wishing that you'd stay.

So may I see you, read you or hold you up and flaunt,
Can I kiss you to find out if it's really what I want!

We Are The FAUD!!!
Tyler Derksen Oct 2011
To many offended,
And some not enough.
Their lives are a plague,
And they try to be tough.

These tough ones are tough,
That I cannot deny.
It's others they hurt,
They cheat and they lie.

Can you look at us now,
And tell us the truth.
Without questioning yourself,
For one ounce of proof.

Has your speech evolved,
Cause it sickens us all.
Continue your ways,
And against us you'll fall.

Because We Are The FAUD,
And your ***** we'll kick.
We defend ALL,
Your death won't be quick!

Sometimes I Wish I Could
Tyler Derksen Oct 2011
Sometimes I wish I could cry and let out all the things building up inside. Where are you when I need you? As the good left in me is starting to die.

I love I need I want and I am not even trying to flaunt this.
Sometimes I wish I did, to see if you really want this.

I've cried before I swear it, and that's a hard memory to hold onto. Less?... has made me weep never to lay me down and sleep!

When trying to hold onto reality and being stuck beneath my eyelids was more hell than ever imagined. I only hoped for a tear to come my way and break me where I lay.

A drop is all I wanted, is that so much to ask? So small a need that suddenly, turns you into a man!

And now I'm weak, and my hands are getting wet. Sadness, pain or anger? What is this? Relief was my best feeling!
