Established friendship in secondary school
created each other projects in English and Math too
became seatmates for some time, many years ago
until I have developed a thing for you.

Years had passed without speaking a thing or two
until our story began like many lovers do
it started in Baguio while I was working in blue
experiencing your warmth makes the feeling new.

As the sun shines in the strike of light
hallucinations covered the drastic seconds of life
dark, melancholy, twisted heads, now on high
innocent folks shouting in terror, as they walk in line

With trembling hands, as he scans the news online
criticizing like everyone knows what is occurring inside
he prays for protection and just leaves it behind
has faith that goodness will spread around in time

Heart beats strangely as he steps his feet on the ground
questioning, if amity is on the other edge of town
unharmed faces still hope for peace and love,
that is what the spirit of hope is talking about.
This is dedicated for the Filipinos especially those who are experiencing the Martial Law.

Do I look lovely tonight?
Memories of the past hunting my luminous thoughts
Watching colorful dresses, swaying on the dance floor
Suddenly, a man appeared in the dream of magical door

Do I look lovely tonight?
Sitting here eyeing the most beautiful moon in sight
Embracing the cushion that acts as my companion and guide
Still, waiting for the man who is not available to please my side

Do I look lovely tonight?
Candles burning like my patience melting into thin light
Urging myself to hope until one day he will realize
Courting me would be the best thing in his life
This is dedicated for people who are hoping for two-sided love/infatuation. That one day, their crush will also see them as someone very special.

Standing in the middle of the crowd
Facing your demons by slashing them out
Holding your brave forces with poise and vitality
Smashing the power that dwells in Lord Almighty

Carrying those burdens deep inside your soul
Heart breaks easily in an empty tone
Praying for comfort and peace to overflow
Kneeling on the rocks in a crooked road

Sweat runoff your face down your spine
Pleasing thyself in this battle behind
Shining like diamond who burst in the light
Sweet victory smells enchanting tonight

A flicker of yellow gold bursts into my joyful eyes
By watching the sunrise with you by my side
So close together that our hearts ignite
Two hands embracing like forever is in the sky

Closing my eyes, I dreamt of you
Fighting in the dark, keeping my troubles too
Woke up alone, feeling depressed and undo
Questioning, if forever in the sky is true

Unhappy memories crack into laughter and joy
Skin lingers wanting to be touch at all
The word I love you speaks to nobody but you
Proving that forever in the sky is true
For my hubby, Mark! I love you!

Dark as the blind person’s sight
Surrounded by shadows that engulf the night sky
Poking questions dancing on my mind
Scared for truth that lays behind

Distress covers the deep of my throat
Shouting back without words to hear in an endless road
Looking for hope in this sinking trance
Forcing myself to wake up in the strike of sun

Dreams became reality one by one
Holding both hands with fears and frown
A palm reaches my shivering hands
Offering peace that sounds like a plan

It was after decision has been made,
simply by getting together to laugh and be saved.
Yesterday was enough to build memories of you
as we all shouted, thought and be thrilled too.

Having all of you made Kat and I smiling with glee,
playing Avalon let our spirit banged like crazy.
Credits to Gwen who had explained the theory
hope her throat would still function sprightly.

Hurrah to the success of this gathering,
each of us rocked the night merrily.
Breathe like there was full of vitality,
cheers ‘coz we were united as one happy family.
Despedida poem to all my friends and officemates in Habitat.
