I remember sending you a picture of my map.
The map you gave me.
I called you that night,
and told you about a ****** Jaws mural.

I remember driving to see you in October.
And kissing you in your grandparents empty house.
Not knowing what I was doing,
But knowing it felt right.

I remember the hellos and goodbyes,
and not knowing when I’d say hello again.
All the times we spent apart,
always wondering who had your heart

I remember when you said you wanted me,
In my bed on christmas.
You made me so happy autumn.
You make me so happy.

I remember the countless reunions,
and not believing you're actually there.
How beautiful you are in the morning.
Kisses behind your ear.

I remember worrying.
And wondering.
And hoping you were true.
Hoping it was real this time.

I’m ready to be with you.
For a whole summer.
To kiss your lips when I want to.
To be mine.

I’m glad I sent you the map.
I had no idea when I sent it,
That we’d plan a trip across it.
Must be meant to be.

I think its all been worth it.
I love a girl named autumn

a tale of the tailless
Timmy Durden Feb 2015
I saw a squirrel without a tail,
running on some powerlines.
He didn’t seem to really care,
that his **** was missing a puff of hair.
Cause he ran as fast
and jumped as high
as any other squirrel.
So it made me wonder,
why the heck
do squirrels have tails at all.
I thought it through
and realized
It doesn't matter if theres one or not.
A squirrels a squirrel

groudhogsday2015
Timmy Durden Feb 2015
Standin' in a car garage
and a bearded guy is checkin the civ.
But I cant help but be glad
Cause its Groundhogs Day

The day that finally came
its come before and every year
leaves me with more questions than answers.

Its that shadow and all its mystery
With just a glimpse
were stuck in snow,
and that **** ****** saw it.

Sike its not even a ******
really, a man in a groundhog body.
A warrior,
poet,
and prophet
all wrapped in a bundle of fur
and a tail on his ****.

Punxsutawney Phil is my hero.
Greatest groundhogs day yet

found poem: Godric
Timmy Durden Jan 2015
Time is a cloud that changes shape
all before your eyes.
From below, they heave and flow
and make our views grow dark

We wait awhile for the rain to stop
to see a patch of blue.
That shaft of sun, like the dove who comes,
with an olive in his mouth.

Don't worry the dove has flown away
and left the earth gone wild.
For its only men who go on blind,
and its always God who stays.
Felt like I had to write somethin deep. Every word was taken from the book Godric written by Frederick Buechner. Which is such a good freaking book. READ IT

frog squachin'
Timmy Durden Oct 2014
I thought i hit a frog today,
and squached it in the road.
I gained up on a rough textured blur,
wishin' it had jumped, just a few inches farther
I did not let my direction be broke,
I listened intently, for that frogs fatal croak.
but instead i heard crinkly leaf.
Cause that was only a crinkly leaf,
not even a frog.
phew. it was a close one.

I wish I were blind.

I wish I saw with my scent,
and learned with my hands.
People were voices,
recognized by accent
and figured without distraction.

Timmy Durden Feb 2014
So,
i played my tunes,
walked the stage,
looked at the board,
and i was amazed.
'cause infront of my eyes,
and muh trombone as well,
straight 1's stared back,
and i said,
"swell"
got straight ones in festival today. holler.

Snowshoein'
Timmy Durden Feb 2014
Strap those puppies on,
no wait their rubber.
Its only two bucks
man thats cheaper than supper.
We walked all those trails,
with snowshoes tightly bound,
because just above those lone snowshoes,
your sole can be found.
