Molly appeared so
lovely
that I could
feel
my heart beating
faster,

her;

Is there any drug
in the entire world
more satisfying
than music?

I forgot my
earbuds
getting ready for
work,
now I’m panicking
because
music was my
only
defense against this
place.

I rock my baby back and
forth
all night long to calm his
nerves.

Just because I
treat
a woman with
kindness
doesn't mean I'm
interested
in her romanticly
it's
called basic human
decency
not falling in
love.

I wear the
blister
that’s on my
finger
like I was
rewarded
a badge of
honor;

Sometimes people can
get into irritable moods

My cat always
senses
when I’m becoming
upset,
he’ll then come
snuggling
up close to
me;

my emotional support
kitty.

I reapplied
to
college again
because
I'm still
preparing
for my
future,

and it's
exciting!

It wasn't my idea,
but I did it anyway.
I read my poem aloud
for everyone to hear.
I started out slow
but rushed at the end.
I wonder if they understood
my words,
did they ponder
the message?
Will, I become
immortal?

I can be
myself
when I'm around
him,

I've found someone
who
is just like
me.

I got a phone call
from my future employer
the job might be mine.

He said that hearing
my voice during our phone call
sounded so good to him.

There is one person
in my life,
I wish I could say
these words to:
"Anything in the world
you need
come to me,
and I'll make sure
that you not go
unheard,
but promise
you'll never let
me
spend another night
alone."

I slacked off all day
so tomorrow I’ll work my
fingers to the bone.

I start every
workday
with a simple
prayer
to God for
help
getting through my
shift.

I've missed so much
of your life,
that come the springtime
I'll take off work,
fly across the country,
and be there
in person
to bear witness
and celebrate
your wedding day,

date,
but he's much
more
experienced than I
am;
it feels nerve-
wracking.

I want to sit
down
on the couch with
you,
and watch T.V. all
night.

She's driving
me
into a
neurosis
because I
can't
get this
girl
off my
mind.

I'm a flower
who never blossomed because
I was planted in shade.

Emotions were running
high
under the summer
sun,
but now I'm
glad
we didn't do
anything
to escalate the
tension
in that hot
car.

I love
her
from a
distance
but because
of
that she
never
feels far
away.

I can feel
wind
pass through the
top
of my head
because
I've gotten all
of
my hairs cut
short.

The new grocery
store
opened in our
town,
exploring it with

was an utter
delight,
not because we
bought
any specific items
but,

instead, I shared
in
the excitement you
felt.

I'm tired of
being silent

being polite,
does it do
any good to

truth,
people will
think I
agree with their
bull,
no longer
God gave me
a voice, so I'll

I called three different
people
over the phone and
not
one single person answered
me,
now I must fall
asleep
without having made any
contact.

I can't rely
solely

for advice anymore

dead ends this
year,
I've now realized

I need professional
therapy.

I can't

a fake
smile
on my
face
just to
pretend
that I'm
happy.

Instead of gaslighting
me

how
handsome you look

a beard growing
