I dare you to stand outside my window
I dare you told hold me and never let go
I dare you to sneak out in the middle of the night
I dare you to make all these messed up things right
I dare you to give us a chance
I dare you to ask me to dance
I dare you to get to know me
I dare you to call us a we
I dare you to act like we did when we here kids
I dare you to bring out all the things I hid
I dare you to find out the thoughts of my soul
I dare you to give me your coat when I'm cold
I dare you to beguile her
I dare you to tell her what we were
I dare you to talk to me; say those hidden words
I dare you to make all this pain feel like a blur
I dare you to love me with all your heart
I dare you to make this fire start
Boy lost in translation, he's with her now. I'll get him back. Hearts attached but pulled apart.

it's time to get my act together
I need to get out from under the weather
I find that I'm alone
Facing this world all on my own

I don't know who I am
I've been breaking away from my fam.
I feel like a fly on the wall
being there but missing it all

I try to let down this outer shell
Who I truly am no one can tell
Trying to be great has a big cost
And through it all I seem to be lost

My "friend" calls me weird
And that had been the one thing I feared
All I am is heavily broken
Each day becoming more outspoken
I wrote this in junior high, the first real poem I had ever written. It showed me that I had talent and that I could maybe be a writer, I realized that I actually liked writing and I had a very supportive teacher who showed me that I could.  It was about the time that the spot I'm in right now started. It marks a chapter of my life that I have not yet finished, and it is still relevant. This will always be an important composition of mine. Enjoy :)
