in between the leaves
i see your face
as clear
as the day.
its whisper is as silent
as silence.
and quite clearly,
your noise settles through
the waters.
but this song is not about you.
i've proven this dream can drive without you.
streadily peddling up and down
mountains of rage,
in cool winds through the blades,
and some solace in a heavenous shade.
that i aim to engage,
entirely by my own two legs.

through the trees
and the frogs.
and i thank
you seriously
for my heart that has
evolved.

when your heart is made of coal
enough pressure can make it
a diamond.
