I dipped my extraordinary toe into the cool waters.
It was colder than I had expected it to be.
And as I glowered at myself
in a mirror of sorts,
I discovered I wasn’t alone.

Deceptively perfect
and perfectly sculpted.
A body of total glory.
A glistening aura,
with freshly chopped wave.
A glistening fauna,
amongst all the flora.
Irreverently so,
she fit no humanly mold.
A creature to truly behold.

I behold the true embodiment
of the truth and the good.
And I certainly remember
the tales of the crude.
*Tatter becomingly of thy soul.
Please don’t develop an interlude.
Ive been laying while dying
underneath old coal.
Please woman.
Call my name.
night time doth slowly encroach
on the creatures of the bush
their activity shall quieten
as the stars sparkle
on the back porch
a planter stand sits

the seedlings sprouting
with much vigor

a good harvest
is assured
in the rich loamy soil
A first attempt at writing a Shanzi.
There once was an interstate trucker
Who went by the name of Tucker
He transported illegal goods
To all sectors of the woods
Cops did a raid to shut down Tucker's trade
family intrigues
were secreted in the closet
there they stayed
out of sight and out of mind
keeping them
under lock and key
twas always thought best
dragging them out for an airing
wasn't a good idea
but often intrigues
slide from under the closet door
there they are on display
a slip of the tongue
an old letter in a box
things of the past
no more interred
and causing
the discoverer
shock and surprise
the intrigues
positioned
under
open skies
A few weeks ago, I was told of a secret that had been closeted for over 20 years. It was a disclosure, which shocked me.
the air
has a freshness
to it to-day
as yesterday's rain
washed the dust away
accord
twill ever sing
as they join together
in a nectar dripping pairing
they've sought the treasure that closeness doth bring
their union aligns with the stars
love's sweet bounty trilling
in their profound
accord
the days of the Great Depression
bought recession
Wall Street dipped
values slipped

the economy wasn't in the pink
dollars did sink
finances lost
high was the cost

the stock market in a dark well
for it wasn't well
some years it took
fixing the book
