tick tock
teardrop
second hand falls

hours pass
  minutes
   poring
pouring
through
    the
hourglass

say
the hourglass be life
there within go i

going
  going
with the going comes an end

where there go i again

Look at us that never was.
We met.
We laughed.
We ******.
Now we don't and without that, there's just you and there's just me.
Me, I learned to laugh. I loved and I loved every minute of loving you.
In spite of all it wasn't because for me it was...
Laughter.Joy.Beauty.Breathtaking.Epiphany.Epitome.Anathema.
My favorite thing.
The song my soul sings.

If you get past the angry words and I get past the hurt...
If we can get beyond all that;
beyond ourselves, trade shoes, share truth and forgive
...then
If I can't call you friend, at least I can say we shared some brutal honesty and you can say she loved me.

I cannot stop thinking of you -
the part of me that returns only when I see your smile.
Come to me now. Pray, don't make me wait another hour.
For I need you as I require
the part of me that returns only when I see your smile.

A prayer,a whisper "closer"
..the feathery brush of my lovers lips 'gainst mine only to share a breath then depart.
What lips can perfect love's kiss yet utter not love's words?
Then take those lips that speak, that kiss for I love naught for love's sake but for my lover.
Be it word or deed to sustain my lover's need with the same let my love be testified.
For what is love if not a sacrifice?

Abraham Cowley
I wonder what those lovers mean, who say
They have giv’n their hearts away.
    Some good kind lover tell me how;
For mine is but a torment to me now.

If so it be one place both hearts contain,
    For what do they complain?
What courtesy can Love do more,
Than to join hearts that parted were before?

Woe to her stubborn heart, if once mine come
    Into the self-same room;
’Twill tear and blow up all within,
Like a granado shot into a magazine.

Then shall Love keep the ashes, and torn parts,
    Of both our broken hearts:
Shall out of both one new one make,
From hers, th’ allay; from mine, the metal take.

For of her heart he from the flames will find
    But little left behind:
    Mine only will remain entire;
No dross was there, to perish in the fire.
1 When life as opening buds is sweet,
2 And golden hopes the fancy greet,
3 And Youth prepares his joys to meet,--
4 Alas! how hard it is to die!

5 When just is seized some valued prize,
6 And duties press, and tender ties
7 Forbid the soul from earth to rise,--
8 How awful then it is to die!

9 When, one by one, those ties are torn,
10 And friend from friend is snatched forlorn,
11 And man is left alone to mourn,--
12 Ah then, how easy 'tis to die!

13 When faith is firm, and conscience clear,
14 And words of peace the spirit cheer,
15 And visioned glories half appear,--
16 'Tis joy, 'tis triumph then to die.

17 When trembling limbs refuse their weight,
18 And films, slow gathering, dim the sight,
19 And clouds obscure the mental light,--
20 'Tis nature's precious boon to die.
