Light fades and every sun ray disintegrates
Into gray scale, pays tribute
To faithless hope or a hopeless faith
And I’m losing myself
Like clouds drop rain.
Not a tear shed for the parts they throw away,
Lying all my shadows across the things they say,
Until I’m hallow,
And I feel nothing
But this soft familiar thrumming,
It’s you calling
It’s always knowing when I have no home,
When I have gone insane,
That I can live in the way you say my name.
You watch me, lift me off my toes
Learn the things nobody knows
Chose the things nobody chose
Gather all my pain in your strong arms
Whisper your happy my soul touched yours and that
I’m altogether more than this compilation of scars.
No matter how far I fall
Into dark
No matter how much life
Costs
I swear I see you.
And when I feel small under skies full of stars,
I feel found , tucked under your arm.
I feel safe under your gaze
And I can spend days in your space,
Saying everything,
Saying nothing,
At a comfortable distance,
In the thrill when we’re touching.
And your my best friend I’ve always loved
To keep loving.
Everything changes,
But this familiar thrumming

Where did all these years go?
How did we drift apart?
I was once your little girl,
and you were once my hero.
When did I become
your emotional punching bag?
I can't pretend your words don't hurt,
when they used to be encouraging.
You were my mentor, my coach;
I thought that you knew everything.
But now it's clear that I'm just ****,
and you know absolutely nothing.
I'm older now, I see through your lies.
There's nothing but hatred behind your eyes.
I'm standing here bleeding, daddy.
Are you still proud of me?
Do you still love me?
Or am I imaginary?
I don't like the wars we fight,
my heart can't bear the pain.
When will this be over?
When will you care again?
Please don't hate me, daddy.
I'll always be your little girl.
Being deaf is ecstasy,
You may think it quaint,
But I do not fight destiny.

A man who knows his place,
In the scheme of things,
Sits back to watch,

The struggles,
In fruitless tiles,
Of the quilt laid in fate.

To see and not be deceived,
By the lies of other’s words,
To judge solely on action,
And never on what you heard.

To never be afraid,
Of that ever beating roar,
The ticking Heart,

A sign of life,
That I could care less,
For.

To be deaf is agony.
I dread it every morning.
To be judges so completely.
By one little malfunction.

I walk to school alone,
And even surrounded by friends,
I am but an unknown…

To never hear the birds chirping,
Or the beautiful octaves,
Of singers from near and far.

Or to hear my sweet lovers whispers,
Deep inside my ear.

To not know the pain of a radio on high,
Or to be able to live my life, completely devoid,
Of an inaudible sigh.

But, by now you’ll probably have tuned this out,
And that’s something with which I can empathize
Please but my book, you'll be helping me with money and you with awesome poetry!

I don't care
how you
perceive me.
I don't care
why you
deplete me.
I don't care
how you
berate me.
I don't care
why you
annoy me.
I don't care.

I walk
with an upturned
nose,
away from your
stupidity.
Feeble minds
think alike.
You stick
to your own kind.
Fuel my rage,
I just laugh.

You said save the Damsel,
but she's in no distress

I'm selfishly half dressed and less
awake than my clothes expect me to be

You said woo her with poetry,
but I'm out of back-of-receipts and torn off edges

I'm tired, and the shiraz has got to me
it started tunnelling through hollowed veins hours back

You said she'll be gone with the dew
leaving nothing but drops on your lips
from Coffeeshoppoems.com, an online poetry blog
It's hard to describe how I feel;
Feelings get too much,
My head is bound and sensitive to your touch.
I am chaos in a tea-cup,
the wreckage before the storm,
and the siren before the tsunami.
Constant pain, blinds my vision,
My reality,
and I can't help it if,
You don't understand me.
Believe me, it's not e-a-sy.
I am not harmful,
But I leave a quake in the earth,
the math in the after,
the torn in the apart,
Do you think this is easy for my heart?
Chronically in pain,
I do not adjust well to others,
I become shy in the fold,
the awakening in the rude,
the disgruntled in the few,
the impatient in the *****,
the erratic in the words,
the misunderstood in the gesture,
Do you you not see I am confused and unsure?
I'm intelligent enough to know this,
chronically broken apart,
I built myself back together,
the donkey in the *******,
the rough in the diamond,
the sand in the cement,
the best in the very,
the for in the ever,
Do you not think I am at the end of my tether?
So chronic,
that in judgement you fail to understand,
that as many times as I have been broken,
I rebuilt myself by my own hand.
And as strong and weak as I am,
As tough as I am soft,
I offer my hand and I ask for your love.
