When you fall in love
The World is an open book
A sky filled with white doves
Beauty in everywhere you look

When you see her crying
There is pain deep inside
As if your heart is dying
It strips away at your pride

When she kisses you
On the clouds you walk
Feelings touch so true
Finding voices to talk

This is a feeing of hope
Deep down in your being
For each day you can cope
The gift of the feeling .....

.....To love

david badgerow
she washed off all her make up
with the hose from the garden
as the radar sun sank below
Nelson hill

i watched her dance and strip
in my bedroom
like a ballerina behind a smoking gun
she asked if i liked what i saw
and i said nothing

instead i sat in front of her burning
an awkward leaf of paper between
my busted lips
while her hips in the mirror
got the best of me

and then all at once
like a building's collapse
i confessed:
don't release me until it's over
this is the first time i've loved you.

that night
we sank to new depths
beneath
the warm molasses midnight moon
lying on the cold kitchen tile
of my father's house
barely speaking.

In April, in April,
My one love came along,
And I ran the ***** of my high hill
To follow a thread of song.

His eyes were hard as porphyry
With looking on cruel lands;
His voice went slipping over me
Like terrible silver hands.

Together we trod the secret lane
And walked the muttering town;
I wore my heart like a wet, red stain
On the breast of a velvet gown.

In April, in April,
My love went whistling by,
And I stumbled here to my high hill
Along the way of a lie.

Now what should I do in this place
But sit and count the chimes,
And splash cold water on my face,
And spoil a page with rhymes?
