you destroy me every day
like a cancer in my bones
my own body eating me away until there is only the dust of you

Halt! Cried the lovers who tried to reason with the moon, please do not slumber and allow the sun to rise, for moonlight is the only time i see my lovers eyes.
But the moon said to the two it is not in me to stay for my lover is awakening and she brings with her the day.

I like every phase;
I like every wane and wax.
The pale glow of a night sky lit by her.
Her mellow halo of sun and starlight,
reflecting back what is given to her.
Turning the harsh heat into light.
I so badly want the Moon to kiss me with her dim, delightful glow.
I am her daughter, after all

sky’s pale till midnight,
satellite glided overhead like some
wandering speck of dust caught in
a patch of sunlight,
and the moon’s hung, like a curled
white eyelash upon the lens of
heaven. i made a wish upon her -
as you are supposed to with
fallen lashes -
though i mustn’t say it, or it mightn’t
come true.
it floats like a feather upon a
stream: hopeful. but to where? i
am not entirely sure.
hopefully
to Lune.

Strive, oh, love thyself.
Regret not,
For my soul doth shine.

As the sun dips through the sea
The darkness starts dancing in the night
The moon once again took the spotlight
As the stars sways by its side
But all of this will not long
For the glorious sun will take its throne
It will stroke its ray through vast unknown
And the cycle goes on and on

the universe made us for each other i think, kindred spirits, connected always, but somewhere along the line, something went wrong. our timing was off. you were the sun and i was the moon, stuck for an eternity it seemed, always searching for each other in a vacated sky. i couldn't make you stay because i didn't know how. what could i offer you besides these messy fragments of myself? you know you belong in my orbit, deep down, you know that. but you're caught up in her, she is your universe now, and im left to wander this wasteland that is all that remains of us, and of me.

Watch the moon disappear
Waiting for the new day of fear
Watch the moon come back again
This midnight, this lonely friend
The best one that I have

I feel like a child
of the moon and the stars.
Every setting
of all my daydreams
Take place at night time.
But my lust for the dark
is not why I take
my Mother's hand.
I take hold of the moon
as I was already there.
The blackened mirror
at the heart of my home.
Its captivating me
all over again. Every time.
But the moon mother
doesn't see me at first.
Show me night sky, stars
I'm ready.
Mother, I am here.

I once built a ladder to the moon
To deposit my heartbreak among the stars
I gathered the slivers, the shards and dust
Then piled it there on the moon to rust
Next to a flagpole that never was
Under the brilliance of a blazing sun

cause I'm crazy enough
to play the game of love
and think I can win.

Your soul is a choice, bucolic scene
With charming travellers in a masquerade
Playing the lute and dancing, yet seem
Sad beneath their fanciful charade.
All carouse in a minor key
Of victorious love and opportunity,
They seem not to believe in their delight
And their song mingles with the moonlight,
In the still moonlight, beautiful and blue,
Birds in the trees dream and sigh by
Elegant fountains among marble statues,
And the cascades in their ecstasy cry.
