A rose for her grave
notoriety he crave
hunger for fame his slave

Notes to police
written to tease
chase me please
cryptic theories

Wants to be caught
but just not, yet
still pleasure to be got
from being sought

A villages fear
knowing he’s near
stalking them like deer
laughing at his peers

Visits his old haunts
his crime he flaunts
with joy he taunts
his evil nightly jaunts

Captured by a twist of fate
this ending he hates
his escape too late
waiting at his warders gate

They turn the key
he’ll never be free
no access to library
to reminisce on his spree

Warm lips
eagerly met
tears fall
soaking wet
hot embrace
face to face
family forgotten
lovers eyes
hypnotise
hunger spent
lovers repent
leave in a daze
memory sways
husband and wife
another life

As I sat down by the brook

A moment for reflection I took

Emotional I became

For reasons I cannot name

Tears ran down my face

For some distant hurt I can’t place

The river bubbled

I no longer felt troubled

I obviously needed this time of grief

Because it has granted blessed relief

I won’t question mysterious ways

As I wander home in a bit of a daze

Calmer I am, some peace within

So sit down by the brook awhile

It may send you home with a smile

Sitting in the office
dreaming
filing to be done
stalling
******* up to boss
crawling
outwardly smiling, inside
bawling

My bleeding head

-is throbbing

my eyes are red

-not from sobbing

keep running to the loo

-insides robbing

Alcohol is my nemesis

causes my body too much stress

from now on I abstain

a mantra repeated again and again

The chance smile, the look over the shoulder, the coy quiet wink

Flirting is easier than you think

I’m looking for diamonds only, please

If your bargain basement stay away, ******

Self-belief is a great thing

an attribute that makes my heart sing

Each of us has a certain zing

that makes someone’s bell ring

It may be just your smile

that makes them go that extra mile

Whatever yours is use it

Don’t lose it

People go to bars to chat

So talk, it can be as easy as that

If you have a great personality

that’s what they’ll see

Body language speaks volumes

turn it up, turn it down

not so loud, that you sound like a clown

So take my advice

and good luck finding your mr or mrs nice

A man for all seasons
He’s cool as a breeze
He’s colourful as fall
He floats like a cloud
He can like thunder be loud

He’s fast as lightning
He brings summer with his smile
He can scold and be cold
He can have a dry wit

He has eyes that can freeze
He’ll spring to please
Whatever the weather
You won’t meet better
