Another chance, a new approach
Waiting in the wings for you
Waiting in the wings for you.

What else is waiting there? (x2)
Waiting in the wings for you
Waiting in the wings for you.

So, take your time, enjoy the ride
Waiting in the wings for you
Waiting in the wings for you.

Yeah, enjoy the ride...while you can
Waiting in the wings for you
Waiting in the wings for you.

For you never know
What else is waiting there
Waiting in the wings for you . . . .

Refrain:
Dare you hasten your destiny?
Only to regret your impatience . . . .

What seems to be boredom now
Is simply biding grace time
Waiting in the wings for you.

And that is not so bad at all
Waiting in the wings for you
Waiting in the wings for you.

For you never know
What is waiting there
Waiting in the wings for you.

Give things a chance.....quit bein' so hasty......

Like some wise person once....all good things come to those that wait, but better things to those that hustle!

delicate swirls
                              abstract motif
                                                             dainty spirals

I.
I see you as a wide sheet of fabric
Beautiful, paisley pattern
Highlighting your *odd
qualities
That I love, more than you could get.

How you shimmer and shine
So well.

II.
Yet, I knew not that there exists -
Very quietly bold and calmly geometric;
Another sheet beneath this visible one
A layer concealed, that only my oblivion feels.

How you shiver and hide
So well.

III.
So, as I learn and delve and discover
Burrowing passages and intense pathways
A myriad of tunnels within tunnels
Where is the real you?

How alone; thought I knew you
So well.

IV.
Am I thus lost?
Blinded so by the light in your patterns....

[said in one breath:
so, I try to brush ever lightly over artefacts of your stained existence,
ensuring I leave no trace of me...
there I go making a new layer (for me)
only to see...another layer....and yet
another....]

layer upon
         layer upon
                  layer upon
                           layer upon....
layerrrr.

V.
Into the icy face of wind, words are flung
Only, they come back...messier!

Disaster.....blast the blundering heart in dusty chokes
Love thrives not in intemperate climes.

At which point did you let your voice die?
Perhaps you hide in fear, of suffering alone....

So long.

VI.
There stands a figure in the circle of light....lonesome
We hover near the highly-charged cosmos of chance
Daring the winds to take us, off guard
To glide away on impossible parades....

How many layers does one need to uncover, before learning *any* truth?

Hm, maybe should-a studied archeology way back...lol

oh, well..
st64 Apr 2013
time stands still....yes
awake at last
much less hurt.

superb splashes of colour
ingenious maker dabs
deep strokes
lightning-fast!

no words needed
silent canvass
awaiting
bold moves
timeless heart.

riding on a wave
yet to be discovered
such delights....

reality tilts in surreal way
no apparitions
hiding
pitch-black night.

atoms split
from unexpected quarters
undeservedly
so, grateful for support.

in your eyes
not yet seen,
layers of
insane aliveness.

sweet and simple sounds
lead to redemptive road
beauty
beginning

affording faith leaps
believing strains of truth
finding forever sought.

Would you rather sweep leaves on a windy day?
And read about others’ stories than be with me?

You’d prefer to sit alone than hold me in your arms
You’d prefer to walk away than hold me in your arms?

Than hold me in your arms........

So, do I really fit in here at all?

Do I even quite make the grade in your eyes?

Would you go counting wispy clouds than float away with me

Would you rather sweep leaves than hold me in your arms?

CHORUS:
Please, tell me why......you prefer to sweep leaves on a windy day

Sweep leaves on a windy day
Leaves on a windy day
Leaves on a windy day –ay-ay.....

When you could be..........holding me in your arms!

S T, 27 April 2013
...sweep or hold...?

Hell doesn't show us all the answers about us
It brings to light only some
Just another incognito, today goin' no lower
So, good morning to the fields.

Actually, nobody's to blame
Ex-dome belts out and drones barge in, beasts!
Expect none less
Certain dishes spoil, once reheated..if left standing too long.

We sometimes drape objects about our person
To hide and to protect: get with the programme, they say!
Shy and gentle chapel, no idea: thus, feel like a crim
Only to check a pulse that isn't there!

Not going all the way, just to be cool, to have arrived
Is innocence lost when you do what they do? Never!
Perhaps best to chicken out, if too far gone
Southern rains won't be found.....in the nick of time.

S T, 26 April 2013
Promises made ....and broken.

Is like checking for a pulse...that never was!

Raja of the rains....sweet, deep words absent too long.

No matter, southern rains will come.

1.
'Prayer is a free outgoing call to G-d
No battery,
No charging,
No network problems.

Always a good signal
Endless talk-time.'
So, keep praying ...and

Happy Day!

2.
Does your heart really have to break a little before you can do anything creative?

But first, to curb dismal overflow
Yes.....

I must soar......

3.
There's no rider on a white horse here
Lament not rain on your windowpane
Would you mind if I told you that....I

What means a room full of flowers?

Wakey-wakey...

                          :(too late):

feelingfaint....

4.
Thank you for keeping on your lighthouse
For closing the door (gently) in my face
For helping me reach (some) rescue
For teaching me my place
For reminding me.....

Yes, you may.
Bye now, no more words from me.

Yeah, Happy Day.
In-deed!

S T, 25 April 2013
Does the heart really have to....?

Let's pray, shall we :)

Refrain:
Free-ee-ee caravan
Won't you join me on the free caravan?
Just let your hair down
Try, try to unwind
Please free your mind.

We'll go beyond the wind's domain
To find that dip in the ground
Where true freedom is found.
Feel your soul fly free.

1.
Let's escape the confines of this caged life
Of ******* to banks, of toiling to work
Of rushing to shops, of accepting too much
Of just too much......

2.
Gotta leave behind all the piling possessions
These things which steal your flight
Rob your sight
Increase your plight
Make you fight
Gotta seek what's real in life.

3.
We see the landscape changing
Yet it's all the same
Age teaches us yet we learn too late
That your childhood is so precious.

4.
So now, no more trudging, begrudging
Just flying free in the wind
Journeying to that dip in the soil
Where there is no more toil.

S T, 24 April 2013
Come, travel with me, we'll go together
Makin' and losin' friends: well, that's the price of change and growth.

[But please, don't yet climb that horizon. Don't go there alone.
Don't desert me here. Let me join you on the free-ee-ee caravan.]

The system kills.
