Once upon a time it was love at first sight
It was dancing in the dark and stealing kisses in the moonlight
It was going on dates and taking cute pictures
It was falling in love; In the most natural way you could ever imagine

It was that never ending feeling
The never ending feeling that you would never want to lose
But sadly one day had to let go of.
It was once upon a time and happily ever after

But like Cinderella with just a blink of an eye, it was all gone.
Strangely enough, before they could blink
All in their mind was "Wow, so this is what love looks like."
One thing they never considered as they fell in love
Was how bad they would crash once they fell out of love.

It was like in the books and movies
Where the prince meets the princess
The only difference is he was no prince
And she was no princess

They were simply two people hoping to find love
Love that they hoped would last forever but never did.
As their relationship started it was like a roller-coaster ride going up
Comfortable and not at all scary but you know at the back of your mind something scary is about to happen

Its that feeling of going up and up and up
And not wanting to go down
But instead needing to go down.
As they reached the peek of their love it was a moment of pure bliss

That moment in the rollercoaster where for just a split second you got to appreciate the view
But in a blink of an eye, gone!
Everything went downhill

And not just the rollercoaster but as well as their love.

First time we met, I swear,
I knew everyone has no soul.
It was like walking around,
With no where to go.

As our friends tried to hide it,
I knew I had to play along.
But it was so obvious
Our first meeting was planned all along.

I'm thankful actually,
For meeting you so suddenly.
It was like a plan made for us,
And a way to get back our souls.

As I made my way to you
I was nervous and scared.
Not knowing what to do
I tried to play it cool.

But as our eyes met,
I was suddenly gone.
Not for a lifetime
But just for a while.

Just enough to know
That you would be the one I'll love
