A poet falls in love much too easily,
But it is never easy to love a poet.

Songbirds enjoy a diet of variation;
Beetles and worms rarely make good friends.

But seeds spring up where they will.

Ah, yes.
This familiar feeling
Anchored to my heart
Stuck and heavy
But makes me...
I try to pull the anchor away
But my
Oh my, is it stuck.

who would have caused me such distraught?

You.
Me?
You!
Me?
Yes, you!
It can't be. I'm me!

I think I've gone insane
And who knew?
Who knew that someone like...
ha! It's that girl, isn't it?
No
It's an anchor.
huh?
Yes, it's her.

Have you seen her?
she's strong
Witty
Has eyes that hold the universe
And her hair
At times
like gentle waves
That go down her shoulders

She's strong, yes
But at the same time
Delicate
And fragile
Like a little girl
Dreaming for adventure

She sounds amazing
She is.

So whats the problem, lad?
She doesn't seem so bad
She's not bad at all!
Then why does your face seem to fall?

I don't know..
It's me.
I think i had more dispute in me about whether I should post this or not... -.- :))

I don't want to make
this some unspoken battle
between who can be there first
who can see it first. Everyone
denies a game when they see
it, but even that is child's play
and I'm not a child
anymore.

I let you too
far in and like
a brisk wind you
threw                  my                     doors
open and whistled
through the kitchen
nestledbetweenthe
crackswithyourdirty
self and skittered beneath
the dishwasher, in the corners
under doors, but I'm sweeping
you out because I want none of
you beneath my fingernails
none of you locked in the
cuticles of my hair, I will
whitewash the walls of
my heart if I have
to.

Where is that heart of yours?

The heart cold as ice
Buried deep in the snow capped mountains
where no light can touch
No warmth can reach

A heart without a beat
Not dead
Just barely moving
Frozen in place
Covered in deep blue ice

Here it used to lie
in this vast empty darkness
Where it slumbered
Like a dragon never to be awakened

But where has it gone?
This mountain that was once covered in snow
Now filled with life
with warmth strong enough to melt the ice
Turning it to shimmering fresh waters
What was once covered in white
Now covered in green, yellow, brown, and purple

This heart anew
No where to be found
But can be heard
Beating here
There
Everywhere
Echoing through the mountain sides
Dear Drearily Burdened Soul,
I want you to know
That every time you cry,
Each tear has the power
To pierce
Through every fiber of my being.
And I know it's hard.
I know it takes every ounce of you
to muster up that smile.
But every time you do,
Let me tell you
Those broken fibers
Mend
Like friendship bracelets
Intertwined.
And I am whole again.
