I sit in bed, and wonder,
while hearing roars of thunder,
why must my parents hate me,
why can't they let me be,
they say they don't like my "type"
well, I don't want to be categorized,
I wish not to be deprived of my rights,
they say it's just a phrase, it will go by fall,
they say I'm a shame to the family,
just for loving someone of the same gender,
why can't they see what I see,
someone whos tender,
someone whos kind,
someone I will never stop loving.

No matter what.

I'll love you forever, she said,
I found the hard way it was false,
we lay in bed,
she looked me dead in the eye,
"I'll love you forever"

by next week she hated me.

two young girls,
walk slowly up the stairs,
they reach the top,
bells begin to ring,
****** is on the loose,
as big as a moose,
the girls run back down the stairs,
with shaking hands,
they were terror-stricken,
they call the police,
and wait,
wait.
