With fickle Freddy Frosts first showing
and the rising of ******* and
limbs fine tactile hairs, laguna,
filaments of sensation *****
quivering and striving
stretching toward a now absent warmth,

she always did have her sunny side showing, bare legs tucked under her
buttocks, leaning back on her hands
under that big Totara tree, face tilting
skyward and sandals kicked aside,

searching out her brighter sunny day
even now, with leaves falling down
the autumnal mix of ambers
Loamy greens and wooded browns
the earth cool and damp underfoot
her naked legs, arms defiant, barely crying for freedom!

Shivered morn's and eve's descend quickly
winters first indicators bringing
a refusal to employ blankets
hope tightly clinging to summers
silk sheets from Portugal,
feather light, soft as air,
just how she likes her thread count
high and expensive, sumptous,
(her pedantic obsession with fine linens)
totally ineffectual as calefactor,
so, she shivers on stubborn as ever,
Stay summer! Stay!

Even her loyal steadfast cicadas
have fallen silent now, summers last guard fallen to shortened days
and longer lonelier cool nights,
it is now she starts to miss a warm body
companionship, a worthy bedfellow
one who will not protest her cold toes
vicious advances on their warmer flesh

The sacrifice well worth the reward
of her warmest, ardent affections
tender embraces and softly spoken
murmurings of love and passion,
her full surrender to your body
with hers, she gives good, good love,
both body and mined soul deep too.

The countdown to clocks pushed onwards
pulls a wustful sigh from blueish lips
she is underdressed, flimsy chiffon
on a day made for heavier cloths
persists with summer daydreaming
of warm strong hands restoring her joy
under cold nights cloaked bed covers,
hot stolen kisses from a winter lover.

Bad habit

the moment
you first sprinkled stardust
in my hair
tenderly
caressed my cheek
the husky morning light
throwing faint shadows
bed sheets scattered
hearts caught
by surprise
then shattered
into shimmering bright
as pre dawn
had me forlorn
lost in your
sweat
my tears
kissed away
your tongues mixology
feeding back to me
my tears and my ***
breeding blending
alchemical lust
the birth of
a bad habit
born out of
a good love
this little bird
stuck
in your gilded cage
would become
locked out by
your inner rage
as madness descended
four lives upended
passion
fighting the good fight
biting back against the strain
of this bad bad habit
loves first bloom
birds singing
before the sun rose
you tearing down
all my defences
raw desire
the fire the fire the fire
in your *****
becoming my ******
scribing incantations
secret spells
of love
of dreams
of wanting
with your ***
on my belly skin
glistening in the
early morning sun
when did the love
mutate to ownership
passion became obsession
your misbelief
my imagined transgressions
tearing the silk at its seams
then on your knees
begging to
redeem redeem redeem
too many heartbeats too late
the light snuffed out
stuffing the ****
in loves spout
sweet turned bitter now
just spit it all out
loves lamb slaughtered
throat cut and bleeding out
spitting my teeth on the floor
of our house built on 'love'
feeling my jaw crack splinter
under the strong hands
that once held me "safe'
'loved' me
wed me
then bled me
dry of all hope
love hanging
choked on the rope
kicking me
to pieces
and me
kicking this
bad bad habit

clean.

Funny, and not in a haha way, how memories invade our dreams, nightmares a crossover of the two, bitter mixing with sweet....messy breakups, nasty divorce, killing the one you love... Humanity insanity...

Oceans of bones
Jayne E Jun 2019
Night binds me blue in blackened silk
elemental sleep stolen by deadest dark
needing rest, comfort, kindness's milk
sifted tears & sobs do leave their mark

still
cold
black
quiet
feels so solitary stark

no escape hatch though I crave release
as wants pull me unto vapoured arms
no succour here I will feel no peace
only bitter pills and swallowed harms

crested light brings harsher days
tattered remnants of coppered dreams
reminds me its the psyche that pays
as fragile silk tears joy at its seams

harsh
bright
bitter
light
of winters mourn

dawns bring the bitten blinded sighs
a glassed in cage for wing clipped birds
oblivion obscura in the masses eyes
ears deadened to my silence unheard

oceans full of childs supple soft bones
his hunters blade glistens the breaks
the wind whispers tortured moans
the sliced knife tip just takes and takes

endless
deep
black
water
the sea swallows me down

Its serene to the point of painful, pretty
this forest where sprites could be at play
no lighter folly for this game is too gritty
secret lair to lead his new lambs to slay

as these vignettes proxy via my dreams
projector unspools reels sickly unsweet
his breath putrefies unpeals my screams
his scent petrifies my heart shale & sleet

hurt
broken
hollow
husk
brittle
a once fierce heart lays flayed.

my heart lifts
in upward flight
a bird on the wing
in the presence
of your love
like a lark ascending
soaring
skyward
on the thermal current

* * * * *

I've loved you
all of my life
even before we met
the promise of you
was cast in my heart
its double barreled
pulsed rhythm
secretly calling your name
your love for me
so sweet and true
became this littlebirds
homing beacon
guiding me
I wing my way
to the refuge of your embrace
to the rapture of your kiss
to the nest of our bed
to the radiance of your love
home.

This piece of music communicates how your love feels to me. Also my favourite Ralph Vaughn Williams piece.

Ultima Thule aka MU69
less to do with *** position
more about new frontiers
in space of the outer kind
new horizons & what they find
while hurtling thru space - time

situation is this
currently over 6 billion km
(4 billion miles imperially)
from mother Earth
hurtling
at breakneck speed
toward
Ultima Thule.
what will they find on
space rock 2014MU69?

and when done onwards again
to seek the wall
phenomenon most mysterious
on the edge of our system of the sun
uncharged interstellar hydrogen
meets charged sun particles
from the heliosphere
meet
take a heliopause
in space

then again space race
throwing wall of light
ultraviolet
threshold dancing
will it reveal
a new dawn a new galaxial seal?
and when all said and done
billions of dollars and geeky fun
to find a space wall made from sun

You waited too long
its light dimmed from
brightest star in our night skies
to falling star burning too bright
right before it dies

You waited too long
the breath i held for only you
ran out of oxygen
burned out in a vaccum then
withered away to cold blue

You waited too long
the spell is now broken apart
yet manacled fetttered strong
your soul to my beaten heart
quiet lingers not for long

You waited too long
my colours ache to seek the free
all these tergiverstates a mess
as you flicker quiver wink blink me
come again behold me undress

You waited too long
my fired passion fades to grey
your velleity extinguished potent fire
our love with no locus left for play
embered draff detritus of our desire

You waited to long
so its dried wither on the vine
finds me persuasible no more
faltered failed to make you mine
I feign sublime and close our door.

Painted Skies
Jayne E Apr 2019
Painted mornings rainy skies
fat droplets hit window pane
not eye, breath vapors sing
deep our lustful sighs

Stretch the playful nights
foray into this darkened
morns replays
fresh coffee grinding fills
the air, music loud to lift
our cares

the paint set hard under your
nails, a myriad of colour that
never fails
to fascinate my hungered eye
as you unfold my lovers sighs

the hands that cast such beauty
set in time
now find me open unveil
my rhymes
a comfort taken in cooler climes

the rain beats on our lovers drum
it casts a rhythm sets to hum
a frame to enfold us where
we lay
this darker rainy Auckland day

linseed oil blown on sleepy smile
just still,
no call repose to wile
a rainy morning spent in bed
you paint my canvas pink on red.

Note: I wrote this some time ago, funny how things work themselves out in life...

I used to believe you were out there
somewhere
the one more time
for my heart to fill with rhyme

I really felt you out there somewhere
moving in the world as I do here
faithful one day our paths would cross
that sunny day waiting to offset the loss

I really felt you out there somewhere
your heart like mine full with sweet care
our orbits destined to one day entwine
your soul flashing signal accent to mine
even now as years pass me by
even now as my heart heaves a sigh

are you still out there somewhere
sensing that is your true mate just there
can you feel me unknown stranger
as I feel you, peripheral do you intuit "her"

I wish I could find you now here
not out there somewhere
its getting harder to wait and still trust
we will find us unite before it does rust
and love is unrevealed left too late
for us to enjoy take our fill and sate

I've always felt you out there somewhere
sensed your energy in the atmosphere
I pray soon will come the sunny day
when our hearts collide our souls to play
to fill us both with loves sweet bloom
to fill my heart to wash away this gloom

I'm more than one that thing you see
the expectation anticipation of me
these layers peel to infinity
it's as of us all, a myriad of me

take my hand altho it's small
I can lead you down to my waterfall
a special place not shown to many
'tis only gifted to those most ready

we will swim there as children
under nights lovely stars
laugh frolic and play this night
all time at hand to make it ours.

if you are tired, and beaten down
let me soothe your brow,
release your frown
give over to this night, in moonlight
drown

it is just this, then something new
the wonder of me, the myriad of you
I see your face so lovely and wise
you see my grace and kiss my eyes

life's torrents roar racing our past
hang on to me, we'll make it last
swim upstream into my eddied pool
in swirling foam gift me your jewel

two souls freed in this universe
galaxies collide in glory starbursts
under my waterfall where all is still
let aqua deep your dream cup fill.
