A lifeline in the form of a father,
He who pushes me farther,
In this life I no longer want to suffer.

hypocrites
Sarah Zahidi Aug 2018
Let them be what they want to be,
Let them do what they want to do,
Let them become hypocrites,
But don’t you follow their footsteps,
And refrain yourself from hypocrisy,
They do them,
You do you,
What’s the point of being all the same?

Love-hate Relationship
Sarah Zahidi Jan 2018
There's no one in the whole world;
Who's scared of me more than myself.

There's no one in the whole world;
Who's ashamed of me more than myself.

There's no one in the whole world;
Who hates me more than myself.

However,

There's no one in the whole world;
Who understands me more than myself,

There's no one in the whole world;
Who's proud of me more than myself.

There's no one in the whole world;
Who loves me more than myself.

With a million reason to hate yourself;
There’s another million reason to love yourself.

Sakura Letters

memories or imagination,
neither nor either,
countless of times,
she thought of you,
both you were,
near and far,
beyond the cage of,
a spinning kaleidoscope,
lies a home,
which was and wasn’t hers,

every season’s deaths,
the little girl sent,
cherry blossom letters,
carrying petals of embrace,
to and fro,
and if time allows,
she’ll follow the wind,
the little ghost,
cries a rain of tears,
the river of happiness,
for she will,
return home soon,
and until then,
she’ll wait for you,
ever so patiently.

teenager.

crushed between,

the egoistic giants,

and the hypnotizing dwarfs,

we are nothing but,

a mere ball of emotions,

that’s how their eyes sees us.

we allowed the world,

to seep into our prayers,

words and numbers wouldn’t help us,

nor our rivers would flow,

we couldn’t remember,

no,

we have forgotten it,

help seems so far away,

as we let the cruelty of the world,

drugged us,

to cut,

to cry,

to die.

the society dipped it’s pen,

in the red ink,

deciding who we are,

a bunch of crosses,

never a tick,

a bunch of wrongs,

never a right.

yes,

that’s who we are,

nothing but pretentious,

a spoiled brat,

a weakling,

a teenager.

Summer Daydream
Sarah Zahidi Mar 2017
By the mountainside,

Hidden from the maps,

In a quiet and solitary life,

Lies a home that I longed for,

I stand on the road,

Barefoot; my feet burning,

The heat couldn’t compare to the warmth of my heart,

Telephone strings drew lines in the blue sky,

Connecting the past and the future,

I am, between the present,

In awe,

In a distance,

Said mountains hugged by the clouds from the east,

Moving lazily along with life,

Bright yellow light caught my eyes,

Rows of sunflowers blooming in the summer,

Beaming with happiness,

Traffic lights winked it’s colours,

Twinkled like the stars in daylight,

My home.
First attempt without thinking about grammar mistakes and the likes. Just saw this nostalgic artwork *v* I want to live in the countryside.. //it's not even summer// English is not my first language btww
