I promise I don’t love you,
Not how I did,
With immature giddiness
And worship.

I promise I don’t want you,
Not how I had,
With every dumb fiber of my
Body, my soul.

I swear to you I am ok
Alone. Unlike those days
We were apart; those days
We were together.

And honestly,
Half the time I think of you,
I feel guilty.

It isn’t out of love.

They bless the rings
Then say “kiss the bride.”
Smile out of the church,
With sun beams filtered.
Trusting your hand
To a stranger in shiny shoes
And neatly combed hair.
Heart thrown to the wolves,
In return for weightless,
Messy-haired affection.

Every picture found
Every memory had
Every smile that was seen,
Has melted into dishonest wax.
Every tear;
Is one of those
Pictures, or memories, or smiles,
Burning down and melding
Into something,
Unrecognizable
To the candle lover.
When all the tears
Stop,
The past will vanish.
And all that will remain,
Is a mis-constructed wax figure,
That no longer recognizes
His face nor his footprint.

The love cantor sings in streets and bars.
She sends her voice to foreign stars.
And when a couple falls in love,
Her heart strings get a little tug.
For she sings of affection and bliss,
Her only prayer is for a kiss.
One of truth, forever a hand,
She searches for love in such a man.

I come to you now, and I am drunk

Even though whiskey has slurred my words

My thoughts come still and steady

I come to you now with a body tired

I come to you now an ever so lonely man

I come to you now on the brink of tears and war

I come to you now afraid because I am without fear

I come to you swinging with closed fist and an open heart

I come to my senses but reality causes me to loose my mind

I come to you now to sleep on your couch because I am still very drunk

I come to you now to repay old favors and owe new ones

I come to you now to reassure my self that I will never need you

But I come to you now because I do

II.

I come again now sober

I have come to see drunken thought blatantly clear

I see sober words to hide thoughts away in riddles

But inebriation brings simplicity to this script

I go away from you now with a full mind and a confused heart

But I go to a bright outlook on a bleak future.

Sweet, smooth, bright-green beauty,
Chunks of chocolate perfection
Generously swept through the soft swirls.
An ******* minty dessert.
That look you have.
Those gun shot staring,
never gonna forget this,
blood diamond sparkle,
type of eyes.

That perfect slit
that hides your tongue.
Red cherry massacre
whispering my name.

Where are you?
I don't feel you.

You are in another place,
in another love?
I don't find you.

Maybe is my fault,
Maybe you are busy...

Maybe (sure) this isn't a poem,
but i wish that it could be,
Because i feel so bad,
That i write  stupid poems
(bad as my state of heart)

I did nothing wrong,
You did nothing wrong,
But this feeling is so wrong...

Take me back to you,
I promise I'll be happy
and you will be too.

My Darling.

I imagine making love
to you on a sand table,
the type a fine mason constructs
to firmly, but gently hold,
by impression
a precious form,
your intoxicating manifold
snuggly thus,
would counter
My every ******.
