I'm here,
I'm walking down the street,
overwhelmed with endless possibilities.
I'm here,
I'm beside my troops of love,
watching,
as the sky falls from above.
Side by side we all stand,
all of us grasped hand in hand.
With a new life on my right,
and a shattered heart to my left,
we march on in the face of death.
Marble columns of power stand around us,
waiting for the moment of destruction,
a self-implosion,
a theft of reality.
Distanced in front lies the sun,
its descent upon us has already begun.
Towards us we feel the energy flow,
striking us at the heart with heavy blows.
And rolling down behind the sun from afar,
we feel the vibes of angry, wrathful mars.
We must run for our escape!
We must save ourselves from the end!
And with one slick motion,
I swept up my troops and ran.
Spectrous aberrations of youth
Surround him, embrace him
Leaving him disoriented, dismayed
Amidst sultry belongings
He’s tethered to that pole of vicissitude
Draped by disfavor
Postmarked Valhalla
Addressed to Folkvangr
Teased by irreverent lovers
In pursuit of contentment
His chronicles restart
In an unpublished testament
Bound by leather, cows unfettered
One lifeless body stationary
Crimson streams part chalk-dry lips
As love’s guillotined victim drips
His future’s fortune forsaken
Willingness to triumph in battle
Leaks from this dimension
With each fluxing discharge
Of her stream’s outgoing apathy
And his fluid permeates alluvium
In streambeds near life’s summit
You said you'd come to tea
so I made a cake
chocolate sweet; maraschino filled;
girdled with a satin blue ribbon;
set out the prettiest plates;
hand painted with forget-me-nots.
And from the darkest corner of a drawer
found a single candle to celebrate the day.
I'd understand if you had 'phoned,
but now the chocolate lends a bitter taste
and even the despairing posies have given up all hope
as the candle's flame flickers my ever waiting shadow.
