perhaps foolish our hearts
for thinking we could
hold onto this forever
like castles made of sand
we once stood so beautifully
frozen in time, side by side
together as we gazed out
in awe at the waves
as they washed us away

her beauty is the novel
that no words can describe
her beauty is the moonlight
the stars could never find
her beauty makes us equal
from sinner to a saint
her beauty is the sunset
van gogh could never paint

i struggle to define
exactly what
you mean to me
these eyes
have gazed upon
an ocean of faces
in this world
but still yours,
the only one i see
eyes that gaze
deep into my glare
cut me to the core
but god no longer cares
to hear my voice
laying passed out
on the floor
my head at war
with my heart
i simply cannot
understand
why a love
as real as ours
is left forgotten
in the sand
i walk this shore
an endless loop
in the hope
that i will find
just one more
moment
to feel your
love again
even if its
in my mind

thank you for the dance
our hearts have loved
and loved, unshaken
behind each stolen smile
they both were breaking
we sought comfort in each other
a place to feel safely insane
a world away from everyone else
a world away from our pain
without you, minutes feel like hours
days don’t even feel real
the love that cuts us without warning
is the one that the never heals
i hope our hearts may
find each other once again
so that i finally have the chance
to tell you, that mines
has never stopped loving you
thank you for the dance

foolish are the brave
faithless are the lost
but hopeless is he;
who can love only himself

moonlight spilling from her eyes
magic pouring from her lips
the universe in audience of her beauty
even the stars would weep with envy

her lips pressed against my lips
like honey soaked confetti
her fingers cut me open with such beauty
like a daffodil machete
