the all

there's some dream that
sits upon you in the
dark of day
when the hateful
snark and snap of bird song
drags you through
the gutter
to the places you
saw in the sea;
when gusting
floating
reaping the minds
of those you admire in
the night
but hate in the city streets;
you knew them once
in yourself
but lost it
somewhere amongst
the all.
it's that feeling when you first walk into a concert,
you know what i'm talking about.

when you see the red, green, and blue spot lights.
illuminating our eyes
once again, igniting the spark they try to put out

everywhere you look people are pulsing to the beat, as it unites the crowd in ways you didn't even know existed

standing there, you are allowed to forget
forget the bad math grade, the ****** week, the relationship that you will probably never be able to fix with your mother

I wish that one could feel like this all the time.
but then, that might ruin the specialness of it

If I could feel like this all the time, then maybe I wouldn't feel so lost all the time

That's the beauty of concerts. You let the music find you.
You may be in a crowd with a thousand other people, but that song, those lyrics, that beat is meant for you
Let it crawl into you. Starting from your toes until it climbs up to your head.
Allowing you to take down the walls, brick by brick, song by song...
Giving you the best high you've ever had.

I hope you stand next to someone you love.
But  if you dont, love them anyway because you are at a concert and nothing,
nothing
is better than that
I would watch that movie
just one more time
if I watched it with her.

Nights spent in eternity
Burning candles at both ends
In the dark, it's only me
One man's search for
meaning.

And in the oppressive, obsessive black
No light comes to show
The truth I seem to always lack
As I stumble upon
nothing.

Pacing pacing pacing round
There is no destination here
And as I march without a sound
I contemplate the possible
ending.

My search yields no help yet
And so I give up now
The futility in mind begins to set
Therefore I lay here
dying.

time passes and feelings stay
I've been patiently waiting for them to fade away
days, through months, then onto years
the smokes in my pack slowly disappear
and I wish I could share each one
with you

As I lay here in my bed,
Clothed in nothing more in an oversized sweater,
I wonder about how things
Could've been
Should've been
And would be.

Oh how I wish for nothing more than
An actual night's rest;
Waking with energy and with bagless under eyes
Just to skip down the stairs singing with the birds
Only to fall down a few steps, but
Laughing all the while.

These are the thoughts that resignate
While I prepare myself for my sleepless slumber.

Have you ever felt so rooted into someone that you just think of how hard you would cry into their shoulder if you'd ever leave them?
Have you ever pictured leaving behind something that you'd never dare to lose?
I don't want to lose what I have here.
And what I've got is pretty great.

I will cry hard.
