There is probably
nothing more lachrymose-inducing
than holding hands in a movie theatre.

Professor Borden ("wacky") said
he hit a note he never heard before
and was having trouble blending in the
surrounding sounds...
"It's weird," he said.

"Like 'Blake's Apocalypse' ?", I ventured,
showing him the title of a paperback
I just happened to be holding in my hand.

He gave a cornered guffaw, then quickly turned tail
back to teaching his songwriting class.
70-years-old and hurt like a boy by a girl.
But I wasn't being wholly sarcastic.

Just trying to be a little helpful, I think,

the butler
brought in
the tray of libations
and it seemed
her ******* were
thinking me as
I thanked him
and wondered if
I must choose
between his
unfamiliar hug
            or
her gaudy ****
so I moseyed
over to a
corner and
tried to
explicate the
dinner gong
tolling across
the mansion's
badlands like
strident
smacks
ringing
out of a
*******'s dungeon--
I could almost
hear the ****
Piper getting
paid or asking
to be--
Well, I guess,
after all,
she was holding
my tray,
wasn't he?
Satirizing a great poet and bon vivant.

O Mother! Lead me home to PLACE PLACENTA
where all was safe and soundless
where I was tucked in snug
behind your hairy garden...

The crazy weatherman
was sure he'd soon be
a billionaire with all that
climate change
jingling in his pockets.

The exhausted diva
brought in her
last aria on
a hoarseful carriage
