Like a noble wolf
A dark smooth coat
Darker Cracks
In your armor
Inviting me to touch your heart
The grooves that hide your face
Look as if tears
Have dried there for all eternity

I am reminded
Of the softness of your beard
How I loved to play with it
Curling it in my fingertips
Of the way you would look
When you wanted to tell me
Of the deepest secrets
You held inside your sensitive soul

Others saw you as a wolf
Protecting me from a world of harm
While you hurt inside
For all the injustice that those
You could not protect
Would suffer

The tears disappear
And I see your wise smile
Always knowing
Always kind

When I would not relent
You would please me
By saying how much you
Loved my persistence
I want to take you in my arms
As I hold this memory
In my hands

Cloudy Skies

                                The satin sun

                           Touches hidden life

                                                   Springs

                                From deep in the earth

                                                      Breathe life

                            Pure, strong, pulsing flows

                                        Cover the seekers

                                          Of the mystery

                      Fill the spaces

       With dreams of the magic

                  Behind the fire's glow

                           Every sweet touch

                        Transports the moment

                               Lifts up the body

                          To places untold

Swept up to the path of moon chilled air
Above the mountains of clouds
To see what only has been dreamed
To seek what has been sought
In pallets mixed only
With earth drawn media
The dream revealed
The secret yet contained
Lying in wait
For the seeker's return

Each shade, each tone, each tint
Revealed  before
Was but a prelude
To this last proof of the divine

To call it midnight is but a bewildered seekers word
To evoke comparison

The moon was there its glory
Reflected in boundless mosaics
Of shimmering movement
Not the singular heavenly glow of other midnights

When the sun awakens
The new midnight
Reveals a peculiar dimension
Of its magnificence.
A deep and pure memory
Of a life now forgotten
Of a dream ever there

Eros embraced me today
Held my hand
Pulled me closer
Enveloped in his arms
Kissed so deliciously
I can still recall
The taste
Of his tongue
Sweet tongue
That licked
Sweet mouth
That suckled
My warm happy *******
Swept me up
Like a feather in his arms
Not even stopping
The kisses
All the way to my toes
The sweetest pleasure
He made me wait
He made me beg
For more
And then it happened
I was carried
To that paradise of pleasure
So enraptured
Only Gods and Goddesses
Have been there
Before me
Does that make me
A Goddess
Or the lover
Of a God

When a ferocious wind blows from the South
Feral creatures clash and clang
At my windows
Fearing not
Come in
I
Welcome all
Wild and beautiful seekers
Protection from the elements
Nourishment for the body
And the soul
The gift I ask
In return
Is to learn
What led you to my
South facing window
And to offer you
My
Love
Before you leave
Through my North facing
Door

I am here to
Ruffle feathers
Rock boats
Start fires
Put them out
Fight the status quo
Yearn to taste
Long hot days
And sultry nights
Be the heat
When there is chill in the air
I am
Fierce
And
Gentle
Passionate
And
Compassionate
Willing to listen
Willing to act
Fear is just a story
I will no longer tell myself

Lifted by gratitude

Feeling all the love

Giving and receiving

Engaging in rituals

Rituals that connect

One

To the universe

And all that breathes

Waiting in stillness

To hear a response

Silence answers first

Creating a space

To stop and appreciate

To stop and express

Gratitude
