Would you like to see a trick
I hear that you like magic
As the world takes hold our hearts
Watch it disappear with them

Would you like to take a guess
At how it saws our love in half
Can you see the slight of heart
And figure out where it's at

What we had before all that
Was only smoke and mirrors
Where we found nothing left
Once the room had cleared

Just like the rabbit in the hat
Love up and hopped away
What is left with that said
I guess the tricks on you and me

You may not like the place you're in
But it won't go away
Till you stand for your convictions
Believe in the words you say

You can have the best intentions
And still wallow in the mire
Stand firm in your decision
In the changing of desires

You need to look within yourself
To figure it all out
That is where the change begins
Beyond a shadow of a doubt

Once you decide to do that
You'll find it paramount
With the place that you're now at
How'd you ever do without

how long has it been that we both have been here
it's so hard to tell with each day anew
i reach out my hand and in yours it lands
with the path that we choose being the journey of two

all that we have is new to the making
taking love out of bounds and letting it loose
where it shares in the treat of both our heart beats
on the path that we choose being the journey of two

lighting a lantern to place in-between us
holding on tight as our shadows move
though we never strayed far from who love says we are
with the path that we choose being the journey of two

I think about you
That’s pretty much
All I have to do

Thoughts begin turning
Words soon appear
Whispers in stanzas
Emotions are clear

Phrases expressing
Infinite dreams
Penned within verses
Magical scenes

Melodic wishes
Everywhere found
Lines become music
A euphoric sound

Wondrous affection
Written for you
Promising always
My love is true

Now you know why
It's easy for me
You are every word
Of my poetry

Kiss me o’er the sunset
Kiss me ‘fore the dawn
Kiss me ‘neath a glowing moon
‘Pon a dew drop lawn

Kiss me ‘midst the maples
Kiss me ‘long the shore
Kiss me o’ my precious one
Now and ev’r more

Just do it.
If your gay embrace it.
If your different embrace it.
This is life make the best out of it,
For we only get one life to live.
