To the one Day I met you For now it is gone To the first Feeling I’ve had Eventually burst To the day Our eyes locked up This feeling so gay To the air We both breathed in For now this ain’t fair As I lay All of these things In a white casket On a fine funny day With my hand holding a basket Of flowers that bloom only on May I found this flower This one, so puny I took it for its beauty Taught me about the power Of something not to be Taken only for granted And dump if not wanted And now As I silently wave And say goodbye To the one To the first To the day I wish you All the happiness To fight that sadness Blending in your hue _ 4814 11:34PM
