Sad Imprisoned by choice Alone by fate Lost in the darkness of my own hate I see people’s smile And it makes me think What a world this must be Gaining satisfaction from smoke or drink People laugh with each other Though I know it’s not real I single myself out Because I know how they feel You’re nothing, you’re small They whisper and sneak I’ll stay all alone If it means I’m not weak Why do I bother? To have friends and feel good They just leave me anyway I’ll be left standing, like a good friend should

My sadness
