Hannah, I really get what you've written here. I'm an "alumna" of a few psych wards and mental health centers. I think I write a lot of limericks to try and look more humorously at a lot of things. My elegy poems/sad poems are rarely commented on, maybe because a lot of poets have depression/sadness, and want to read something lighter (just taking a guess). :)))))
