I don't know if I'll ever see her again, This one I trusted to be my forever. This is not forever. This is a day and days without her. She doesn't want to be bothered. She doesn't want to be better. I hate myself for respecting it. She's gone somewhere far away, But never more than a phone call away. I pray her face never fades from my mind As I may never see her again. Still, even now, all I can recall Is the snow covered bridge she sat upon, The snow soaking into her jeans And an icy storm in the water below. She stared so deeply into that storm. She used to say, "Home." She always whispered, "Home." She doesn't want to be bothered. She doesn't want to be alone.
