The night time brings upon
A nectar to the earth
Sweet like the honey tears
Of the black-eyed Susans,
And cool to the touch
Like the springs in August.
I know,
For I have walked it myself.
Barefoot and naked,
Into the woods
In search of a song
Gone silent from my youth.
